Holiday Brunch with Santa at the NAC

When: December 11th, 9 am – 1 pm
Where: Newtown Athletic Club, 120 Pheasant Run, Newtown, PA

‘Tis the season. On Saturday, December 11th, Santa Claus will be at the NAC for a holiday breakfast. This is a buffet-style breakfast with family photos, crafts, activities and a special appearance from Elsa and Olaf. This event is free with a NAC family membership. For non-members and members the cost is $15 per child and $20 per adult.

Dublin Holiday Gathering & Gingerbread House Show

When: December 11th
Where: Dublin Fire Hall, 194 N. Main Street, Dublin, PA

Santa is coming to town to light the tree as he has done for many years in Dublin, PA. All activities are free, including horse drawn carriage rides, pictures with Santa, a large working model train display and more. The Gingerbread Contest is taking place this year and will be coordinated again by Brown's Donuts & Pastry Co. in Dublin. Enjoy the music, festive atmosphere and the local dance company for a fun event for the whole family. Winterfest at King of Prussia Town Center

When: December 11, 1 – 4 pm
Where: King of Prussia Town Center, 155 Village Drive, King of Prussia, PA

The King of Prussia Town Center will be inviting the local community to help ring in the holiday season during Winterfest, presented by Xfinity, a seasonal celebration and interactive outdoor experience. This year's Winterfest will encourage attendees to come together to participate in fun family activities such as photos with Santa & Mrs. Claus, an ornament workshop, local School Choir and Band performances, meet and greet with favorite holiday characters and more. This event is open and free to the public. Winterfest will encourage diners and shoppers to gather friends and family together for food, fun and festive activities. The evening portion of the event will feature Tim Williams Band, who will be performing renditions of holiday favorites from 6-9 pm.

“A Christmas Carol” with Gerald Charles Dickens

When: December 11th, 1 pm & 5:30 pm, December 12th at 1:30 pm
Where: Byers' Choice Ltd.

Returning to the United States for his 17th year, renowned actor and great-great grandson of Charles Dickens, Gerald Dickens will perform his spirited rendition of “A Christmas Carol” on the factory of Byers' Choice this December. During the energetic one-man show, Dickens brings “A Christmas Carol” to life. He leaps, sobs, laughs and entertains, depicting 26 characters of the classic tale. After the performance there will be an on-stage Q&A with Mr. Dickens. The show is recommended for children over 8 years old.

Where: Philadelphia Argentine Tango School, 2030 Frankford Ave, Philadelphia, PA

Come out for a three-day celebration of tango music and dance, centered around International Tango Day (December 11th). The whole event takes place at the Philadelphia Argentine Tango School. Attendance is limited. The schedule is as follows:

  • 9:00 pm – 1:00 pm Festivalito Milonga with DJ Burak Ozkosem

Saturday, Dec. 11

  • 4 pm – 8 pm Milonga celebrating 25 years of Orquesta El Arranque. El Arranque, with vocalist Juan Villareal, will play live for dancing from Buenos Aires, streamed into the studio. You will simultaneously be able to see other milongas around the world, dancing to the same livestream. Before and after the livestream, DJ Kerry Kay will be playing.

Sunday, Dec. 12

  • 1 pm – 2:30 pm Lecture on Horacio Salgan by Pablo Estigarribia
  • 3 pm – 7 pm Milonga and Holiday Gift Bazaar

Exhibit of Artwork by Vincent M. Romendio

When: December 11th
Where: 117 East Broad Street, Suite #3, Souderton, PA

During an open house that is to be held at pixelMIGHT marketing and photography studio, a selection of drawings, paintings and sculptures by abstract artist Vincent M. Romendio will be on exhibit and available to purchase. In addition to viewing the artwork, the public is invited to attend and enjoy conversation and refreshments. The open house and exhibit opening take place on Saturday, December 11th from 1-5 pm and is open to the public. Thereafter, the Romendio's work will remain on exhibit until Saturday, February 12. Private viewing sessions may be scheduled by calling 215-230-7300.

Enjoy a family friendly evening of cookies, cocoa and crafts at the Spruce Run Memorial VFW Post 5119 in Glen Gardner. Winners of the first ever GGWC Holiday Lights Contest will be announced at 6:30 pm and you don't need to be present to win. Contestants must register by December 10th and prizes will be awarded in multiple categories including “Creative Spirit,” “Traditionally Elegant”, “Festive Inflatables” and “Through a Child's Eyes.”

Book Donations | Friends of the William Jeanes Memorial Library

When: Thursday, December 16th, 1-3 pm
Where: William Jeanes Memorial Library, 4051 Joshua Road, Lafayette Hill, PA

Friends of the William Jeanes Memorial Library are accepting book donations on Thursday, December 16th from 1-3 pm. This event will be held outdoors in the lower parking lot. If there is inclement weather, the event will be held in the library, inside the Willaman Community Commons.
