February is here and this weekend's events look incredibly fun for the whole family. Pennypacker Mills is hosting a Valentine's Day workshop for kids that includes crafts and activities. Saturday evening, the Newtown Athletic Club is hosting a Kid's Night Out with inflatables, pizza, games and a movie! Sesame Place is debuting their Mardi Gras Parade during this weekend's Elmo's Rockin' Birthday Bash and if you're up for some live music, Erin McAndrew, Pennsylvania native is playing at the Newtown Brewing Company. Live Music with Erin McAndrew

When: February 5th, 6-9 pm
Where: Newtown Brewing Company, 103 Penns Trail, Newtown, PA

Originally from Pennsylvania, Erin decided to take a leap to pursue her musical ambitions and other goals. While attending Hofstra University in New York, Erin was the lead singer of the Long Island-based rock band, Tiny Giant, which played the legendary CBGBs (R.I.P.) and other local venues. See her perform this Saturday at Newtown Brewing Company.

Valentine's Workshop for Kids

When: February 5th, 10 am – 2 pm
Where: Pennypacker Mills Classroom Building, 5 Haldeman Road, Schwenksville, PA

Attend a fun workshop where you'll be able to create four Victorian-themed crafts to share. Masks are required. This workshop is for ages 5-10, accompanied by one adult. The fee is $5/child; pre-registration and payment is required. Call 610-287-9349 to reserve your spot. Pennypacker Mills is operated by the County of Montgomery and open year-round for guided tours, changing exhibits, education programs and seasonal events.

Kid's Night Out: Inflatable

When: February 5th, 6 pm – 9 pm
Where: Newtown Athletic Club, 120 Pheasant Run, Newtown, PA

Come to NAC Kid's Club on Saturday for the inflatable-themed Kid's Night Out! Starting in February, this series will return every Saturday night from 6-9 pm. The first event is this weekend ad to celebrate, it's half off! This deal is for non-members and members. During Kid's Night Out, children up to 12 years old will participate in a variety of games, crafts and activities, followed by a movie screening. Reservations are required for this event. Pizza, drink and a snack are included. Before care is available. Reserve your spot on the NAC app under Kids Club Reservations.

Out of Hibernation Hike

When: February 5th, 2 pm – 3 pm
Where: Peace Valley Nature Center, 170 N Chapman Road, Doylestown, PA

From humans to groundhogs, and amphibians among a host of other winter animals, you'll discover some amazing facts. Learn about the wonderful adaptations that highlight this time when our world begins to awaken to the coming of spring. Don't forget your boots and warm clothes for the journey down the trails. The event is free.

Elmo's Furry Fun Fest & Mardi Gras Parade

When: February 5th, 10 am – 2 pm
Where: Sesame Place, 100 Sesame Road, Langhorne, PA

On weekends until March 20th, join Elmo for birthday parties galore as he celebrates all of his furry friends! This weekend debuts the ALL-NEW Mardi Gras Parade! This colorful, musical parade will celebrate with decorated floats and Sesame Street friends dresesd up and ready to party. The floats are decked out in Mardi Gras with colors of gold, purple, and green. The parade is at 1:30 pm. Don't miss the all-new Family Zone, featuring fire pits, s'mores and yard games. Elmo's birthday was this week so the theme this weekend is Elmo's Rockin' Birthday Bash!

Groundhog & Shadows Nature Walk

When: February 6th, 2-3 pm
Where: Churchville Nature Center, 501 Churchville Lane, Churchville, PA

Did the groundhog see its shadow? Join Naturalist Peg Mongillo on a search for the slumbering mammals and learn why the shadows are long this time of year because of the earth's rotation and its distance from the sun. You will get to walk the trail to find their hibernation dwellings and maybe dispel a myth or two. This event is free for all.

That’ll Be The Day: A Rock ‘n Roll Romance

When: February 4-6
Where: Bucks County Playhouse, 70 S. Main Street, New Hope, PA

Featuring the music of Buddy Holly, Adele, Hank Williams, The Beatles, Elvis, and more! – Join real-life couple Andy Christopher and Esther Stilwell (Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story) as they share songs and tales from their musical theatre careers as well as their time falling in love while performing together in Buddy. The show is playing at various times throughout the weekend. Get your tickets here. The show is 80 minutes long.

When: Thursday, February 10th, 7-9 pm
Where: Bishop Estate Vineyard and Winery, 2730 Hilltown Pike, Perkasie, PA

Learn Florology, the Language of Flowers by creating a lovely Valentine's Bouquet with Melissa Palmer of Florum Flowers. Learn fun tips and tricks for your future arrangements. Each student will receive a pamphlet of the language of flowers and a small box of chocolates.
