The temperatures have been extremely chilly here in Bucks County so bundle up for fun this weekend. Life in Winter Nature Walk

When: January 15, 2-3 pm
Where: Churchville Nature Center, 501 Churchville Lane, Churchville, PA

Join Churchville Nature Center's Naturalist and Land Manager, Bill Woodroffe to learn and appreciate the plants and animals that thrive in the winter. The walk is free to attend. Dress in winter clothing and shoes. Registration is appreciated!

Country Night at Steam Pub

When: January 15, 10:30 pm – January 16th, 2:00 am
Where: Steam Pub, 606 Second Street Pike, Southampton, PA

Country Night is back at Steam Pub this Saturday. Let's Ride will be playing your favorite country songs from 10:30 pm – 2:00 am. No cover!

Superhero Skate

When: January 15, 2-4 pm
Where: Dilworth Park, 1 S 15th Street, Philadelphia, PA

Kids are invited to skate with their favorite superheroes on the Rothman Orthopedics Ice Rink! Costumes are encouraged and complimentary capes and take-home crafts will be given to children while supplies last. Representatives from the Philadelphia Union will also be onsite with some super giveaways of their own, plus a visit from Phang!

Furniture Painting Class

When: January 14, 6 pm – 9 pm
Where: 408 Mill Street, Bristol, PA

Learn how to paint furniture. Bring a small piece (such as an end table, mirror, frames, or plant stand) and learn how to refinish your piece from beginning to end. The class cost is $100 and you will leave with some paint + sealer to bring home with you. Purchase tickets here.

An Evening of Poetry with Katerina Canyon

When: January 14, 7 pm
Where: Virtual – Zoom

The Spiral Bookcase (Philadelphia, PA) will be hosting an evening of poetry with Katerina Canyon on Friday, January 14th. Poet Katerina Canyon will be reading from her latest poetry collection, “Surviving Home.” This reading is free to attend and will be hosted virtually on Zoom. Surviving Home is a reflection on African American heritage and up-bringing, racism and abuse. Katerina Canyon is a 2020 and 2019 Pushcart Prize Nominee. Her stories have been published in The New York Times and The Huffington Post. Learn more here.

Silver Bracelet Workshop with Jessica Keemer

When: January 16, 10 am – 12:30 pm OR 2 pm – 4:30 pm
Where: Tyler Park Center of the Arts, 10 Stable Mill Trail, Richboro, PA

Stay warm and participate in a fun class making Stone Set Circle Bracelets. Students will learn how to design, set and form a beautiful bracelet out of sterling silver. Students will have an array of semi-precious 6 mm stones to choose from for their bracelets. Tips on soldering, forming and finishing jewelry will be covered in class. There is no experience necessary. The workshop is $135 + $35 materials fee payable to the instructor at the time of the class.

Wine and Friends Board Painting Class

Where: Bishop Estate Vineyard and Winery, 2730 Hilltown Pike, Perkasie, PA

Board painting is back! This wine, friends and fun night includes painting personalized wooden signs or trays. Pick from a variety of designs and layouts for your customized board. Enjoy a glass of wine with your ticket while painting. Be sure to choose the correct design that you prefer when ordering your ticket. If you would like to personalize your board or tray with your name, etc. make sure you email [email protected] Each ticket includes all materials needed to create one board or tray, a glass of your favorite Bishop Estate wine and light snacks.
