The Newtown Theatre is recreating the unannounced concert the Beatles played in 1969 with an outdoor concert on the porch on Sunday evening. Friday Night Live at the Escape Resort 

When: July 8, 6-10 pm
Where: Escape Resort, 120 Pheasant Run Road, Newtown, PA
Friday Night Live is back at the Escape Resort! There will be live music, dinner and drinks. Enjoy the best of summer poolside. Friday Night Live takes place every Friday from 6-10 pm. No cover charge applies for live music. Happy hour is from 4-6 pm.

Tinicum Arts Festival

When: July 9, 10 am – 6 pm and July 10, 11 am – 5 pm
Where: Tinicum Park, 963 River Road, Upper Black Eddy, PA
Enjoy works of over 180 regional artists in the centerpiece Art Barn. There will be over 140 artists and craft artisans displayed under the trees. There will be thousands of volumes available at the Book Wagon, a silent auction, live entertainment, fresh-squeezed lemonade, tasty food and home-baked desserts in the picnic grove. There will be special activities and summer fun for the whole family. This event is the primary fundraiser for the non-profit, Tinicum Civic Association.

Outdoor Concert and “A Hard Day's Night” Screening

When: July 10, 6:30-9:30 pm
Where: The Newtown Theatre, 120 North State Street, Newtown, PA
In 1969, The Beatles played an unannounced concert on the rooftop of their Apple Corps headquarters in London. The Newtown Theatre is creating a similar experience this weekend with a free 30-minute “concert on the porch,” beginning at 6:30 pm. During the concert, North State Street in front of the theatre will be temporarily closed to traffic. Following the concert, the theatre will screen “A Hard Day's Night” at 7:30 pm.

Local Artisan Craft Fair

When: July 10, 1-5 pm
Where: Newtown Brewing Company, 103 Penns Trail, Newtown, PA
Attend the outdoor craft artisan craft fair at Newtown Brewing Company. Grab a pint and tasty dish from the food trucks and shop from local artists and businesses, while listening to live outdoor music. Food trucks include Algorithm Vegan, Goodnoe Ice Cream and Kresha Kreations Desserts. There is a lengthy vendor list of artisans and live music is by Fly On the Wall Acoustic.

Eric Mintel Investigates Plus Live Jazz | ACME Screening Room

When: July 8, 6:30 pm – 9 pm
Where: ACME Screening Room, 25 South Union St., Lambertville, NJ
Attend the pre-screening live jazz with Eric Mintel on piano and Dave Antonow on bass. Eric Mintel Investigates, a.k.a. Bucks County Paranormal Investigations will hold a screening of their latest spine tingling investigations including The Beast of Bray Road, Bigfood in the New Jersey Pine Barrens and haunted theaters, restaurants and UFOs over Doylestown. Joining Eric for discussion and Q&A are spirit mediums and team members, Dominic Sattele and Karen T. Hluchan.

Summer Car Show at Quakertown Farmers Market

When: July 9, 9 am – 1 pm
Where: Quakertown Farmers Market, 201 Station Road, Quakertown, PA
The Modifiers are back with 2 charity car shows. Each show will bring 100+ vehicles to the market. The shows are free to enjoy or $15 to register your vehicle. The top 20 vehicles will be awarded, plus 5 specialty awards. There will also be a 50/50 raffle, door prizes and a DJ.

Shakespeare at Fonthill Castle

When: July 8-9, 7 pm – 10 pm
Where: Fonthill Castle, 525 East Court Street, Doylestown, PA
The Mercer Museum and Fonthill Castle and the Actors' NET of Bucks County are presenting two special performances of William Shakespeare's “King Lear.” This will take place outdoors at the Fonthill Castle Tickets are available for preferred seating or lawn seating (bring your own chair/blanket).

Raymond Farm Center House Tour

When: July 9, 11 am – 12:30 pm
Where: Raymond Farm Center for Living Arts & Design, 6355 Pidcock Creek Road, New Hope, PA
Take a guided tour of the Raymond Farm House and grounds, made up by over 120 acres. The Raymond Farm was purchased in 1938 and is still managed by the Raymond Family. Registration is required for this event as spots are limited.

Abington Art Center FREE Summer Concert Series

When: July 14, 21 and 28
Where: 515 Meetinghouse Road, Jenkintown, PA
Abington Art Center features a summer soundtrack of togetherness each Thursday in July as part of their free annual outdoor summer concert programming. There will be food trucks, beer, wine and cocktails and dancing under the stars. Grounds open at 6 pm and bands hit the stage from 7-9 pm.

Peter Wentz Farmstead Colonial Camp 2022

When: July 11-15, 9:30 am – 2:30 pm
Where: Peter Wentz Farmstead, 2030 Shearer Road, Landsdale, PA
Travel into the past this summer at Peter Wentz Farmstead's Colonial Camp, where you will have the chance to step back into the eighteenth century and live like a colonial farmer for a week. Each day, living historians will lead campers through hands-on demonstrations of historical crafts like quill and ink calligraphy, ceramics, woodworking and more. Colonial Camp is for children going into 4th-6th grade and the cost is $150 for the week per child. Registration is limited.

Sip & Paint at Continental Tavern

When: July 14, 6:30 – 8:30 pm
Where: Continental Tavern, 2 N. Main Street, Yardley, PA
Spend the evening painting a seascape at the Continental Tavern in Yardley. Enjoy a drink and bites as your host guides you step-by-step through the painting. The event is $35 pp and all supplies are included.
