Summer has officially started and things are heating up in Bucks County! The Newtown Welcome Day is back and it's an event for the whole family you don't want to miss. Put on your best rainforest-inspired outfit and head “Into the Wild” at Escape Resort on Saturday evening for a night you'll be sure to remember. There's plenty of fun events happening this weekend and we've rounded them all up for you right here.
Newtown Welcome Day
When: June 26, 11 am – 4 pm
Where: Sycamore Street, Newtown, PA
The Newtown Street Fair is back! This annual event is sponsored by the Newtown Business Association and held along Sycamore Street, drawing over 5,000 people to Newtown in past years. There will be artists, crafters, vendors and fun activities for the whole family. Enjoy tasty treats from eateries along the street. The event is free and was voted Winner of Best Family Event and Finalist for Best Business or Chamber Event on the Bucks Happening 2020 List.
The Bucks Food Truck Fest
When: June 26, 11 am – 3 pm
Where: Warminster Community Park, 350 E. Bristol Road, Warminster, PA
Attend one of the largest food truck fests in Bucks County with a car show mixed into this fun family event. Roxy Teams will join in on the fun. There will be live music, kids activities, animal rescues, vendors and much more. There will be 12 unique and delicious food trucks represented and the car show is open to the first 135 cars registered. 35 top trophies will be offered as this is a professionally judged car show.
Concert in the Park
When: June 25, 7 pm
Where: Ivyland Commons, 1005 Pennsylvania Avenue, Ivyland, PA
The Warminster Symphony Orchestra is coming to Ivyland's Concert in the Park this Saturday at 7 pm. Rain date is June 26th at 7 pm. Bring your lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy an evening of music. The orchestra will be located at the rear of the old schoolhouse parking lot facing the Commons. Food items will be available at the Ivyland Fire Station lot. The free musical event is brought to you by the Ivyland Heritage Association – helping the borough celebrate their 150-year history.
Emo Pop Punk Night at Steam Pub
When: June 25, 10 pm – 2 am
Where: Steam Pub, 606 2nd Street Pike, Southampton, PA
Emo Pop Punk Night is back at Steam Pub on Saturday, June 25th. Scene Points will be playing all of your favorite emo and pop punk songs from 10 pm – 2 am with no cover charge.
INTO THE WILD | Night Party at Escape Resort
When: June 25, 8 pm- 1 am
Where: Newtown Athletic Club Escape Resort, 120 Pheasant Run, Newtown, PA
From 8 pm – 1 am, enjoy tropical drink specials, poolside DJ, animal prints and exotic pool floats at Escape Resort at the NAC. This is a tropical, rainforest-themed adult pool party, ages 21+. Cost is $25 for non-members. There will be a late night menu and more.
Steel Magnolias at Newtown Theatre
When: June 24 & 25, 7:30 pm, June 26, 2 pm
Where: The Newtown Theatre, 120 North State Street, Newtown, PA
Catch the last weekend of shows of Steel Magnolias at the Newtown Theatre. The action is set in Truvy's beauty salon in Chinquapin, Louisiana, where all the ladies who are “anybody” come to have their hair done. Filled will hilarious repartee and humor, the play move towards tragedy when the spunky Shelby risks pregnancy and forfeits her life. Shows are playing Friday – Sunday.
Oceans of Possibilities Kick-Off Party
When: June 25, 12-3 pm
Where: Margaret R. Grundy Memorial Library, 680 Radcliffe Street, Bristol, PA
Celebrate the start of Summer Quest with the Grundy Library! Stop by for outdoor games, activities, a book sale, Summer Quest sign ups and refreshments. All ages are welcome!
Family Pride Festival at the Market 2022
When: June 25, 1-4 pm
Where: 620 W. Chestnut Street, Perkasie, PA
Perkasie Borough is supporting Perkasie's Pride committee to organize Perkasie's 2nd Annual Pride event on on Saturday, June 25th. This is a family-friendly event. There will be special vendors, giveaways, live music by Evelyn Sheldon, photo ops, shopping and dining specials. This is a very festive occasion so dress accordingly!
That Old House: A Guided Tour of the Historic Village
When: June 26, 1 pm
Where: Historic Fallsington, 4 Yardley Ave, Fallsington, PA
Visit Historic Fallsington as a renowned historian and author, Jeffrey L. Marshall serves as a guide through Fallsington. He will lead us on a walk pointing out the architectural details of Fallsington's exceptional historic buildings and teach us about clues that can help us determine the age of a building. Signed copies of some of his books will be available for purchase before and after the tour. The cost is $15 per person and includes a copy of the Walking Tour booklet.
