It's the last weekend to head to the grocery store and stock up on all your Thanksgiving supplies. Many holiday events are kicking off this weekend! The Shady Brook Holiday Light Show opens this Saturday, November 20th and LumiNature at the Philadelphia Zoo started Thursday, November 18th. The National Dog Show that will air on Thanksgiving Day is taking place this Saturday at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center. All of the details for this weekend's fun can be found below.


The National Dog Show

When: November 20 – 21, 8:30am – 5pm
Where: Greater Philadelphia Expo Center at Oaks, 100 Station Ave, Oaks, PA

Featuring over 1,500 show dogs in conformation competition and demonstrations, attend the National Dog Show. The show is the dog show that shows on Thanksgiving Day from noon-2pm. It's one of the most prestigious dog shows in America, started in 1879 and has been staged continuously by the Kennel Club of Philadelphia since 1933. Tickets are $16 for vaccinated adults and can be purchased here. Tickets will also available at the door. No one under 12 will be admitted. Only vaccinated individuals with proof of vaccine will be permitted entry.

LumiNature at Philadelphia Zoo

When: November 18th – January 9th
Where: Philadelphia Zoo, 3400 W Girard Ave, Philadelphia, PA

Philadelphia Zoo is excited to light up the holidays once again with the return of LumiNature, presented by Chase. The giant-sized holiday extravaganza will transform the entire zoo into a nighttime wonderland. Guests will experience a magical journey of lights, music, sounds and surprises. LumiNature will expand to feature 14 illuminated experience zones that will feature lively themed displays, newly-enhanced installations and thousands of twinkling lights. In addition, there will be seasonal fare, strolling performers, hot chocolate and ever-warming adult beverages to spark the holiday spirit.

Humor for Healing

When: November 19, 5:45 pm doors open, 7:00 pm show starts
Where: Rose Bank Winery, 258 Durham Road, Newtown, PA

Enjoy a night of comedy with three America's Got Talent comedians and Emcee Steve Young, with light fare and wine. There will be an online silent auction with in person raffles and prizes to be won. Proceeds benefit The Healing Consciousness Foundation (HCF) that improves quality of life for women and men affected by breast cancer diagnosis. Shady Brook Farm Holiday Light Show

When: Opens November 20
Where: 931 Stony Hill Road, Yardley, PA

Shady Brook Farm's spectacular Holiday Light Show features more than 3 million lights illuminating acres of farmland. Encounter whimsical displays and characters you might recognize as you drive through in the comfort of your own car. You can also enjoy the show on an open-air wagon ride (weather permitting). Stop in after the show to warm up at a toasty campfire, enjoy hot chocolate, cocoa, s'mores kits, tasty treats and locally produced adult beverages. Get your tickets on the website.

Montgomery County Concert Band Performance

When: November 21, 3:00 pm
Where: Dock Mennonite Academy, 420 Godshall Road, Souderton, PA

The Montgomery County Concert Band is playing a live concert this Sunday. The concert features a variety of audience-pleasing tunes by Vincent Persichetti, Alfred Reed, John Phillip Sousa, Brian Balmages, Randall Standridge and Ryan George. Also featured is a piece commissioned by the band from composer, Patrick Burns called Silver Celebration Overture which will help kick off the celebration of the band's 25th anniversary season. Sip & Shop Craft Event

When: November 21, 9 am – 2pm
Where: 1225 W Street Road, Warminster, PA

The Warminster Historical Society is hosting a Sip and Shop Craft and Vendor Event. Come out and enjoy a fun day of holiday shopping. As you shop, enjoy a cocktail or glass of wine from the cash bar at Five Ponds Country Club.

Country Line Dancing

When: November 19, 7 pm
Where: Spruce Run Memorial VFW Post 5119, 1175 Main Street, Glen Gardner, NJ

Country line dancing is happening this Friday, November 19th at 7 pm. Cover is $10 at the door. The evening includes lessons to two dances on a great wooden dance floor. Beginners are welcome. There will be a great variety of traditional and newer music and dances. Show your support for our veterans and dance the night away. Drinks and food will be available for purchase. All are welcome!

American Heart Association (AHA) Heartsaver® courses are for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in CPR AED to meet job, regulatory or other requirements. The course is also for anyone who is interested in learning the lifesaving techniques to protect their family and friends – but does not need a certification card. Both options are available.
