Ed and Mike are 2/5 of the rock & soul group Soul Custody – as a duo they will captivate and rock you! Are you ready for the annual Winterfest parade!? This Saturday at noon, the parade kicks off at the New Hope-Solebury High School and marches down Bridge Street across the bridge into Lambertville. There will be Mummers String Bands, High School Marching Bands and other musicians bring a festive energy to our community. Floats competitors display their creativity and energy in hopes of winning notoriety and cash prizes! Come and cheer on members of many any local organizations, including Lambertville and New Hope American Legions, scout groups, schools, sports groups and more. Prime viewing spots are in New Hope at Bridge and Main Streets and in Lambertville at Bridge and Union Streets.
Make smores at the Stephan House Saturday
The Girls U-10 Solebury Thunder Soccer Travel Team is hosting a S’mores Party during the 14th Annual New Hope/Lambertville Winter Festival Parade on Saturday, January 29, 2011 at 12:00 noon. Come to the Stephan House at 28 West Bridge Street, New Hope, PA for an outdoor feast of yummy s’mores. For $5.00 a person, parade watchers and party-goers will enjoy unlimited s’mores, hot cocoa and a roaring bonfire to keep warm as the parade passes by. Hot cocoa and hot cider will be sold for $1 cup. All proceeds raised, benefit the Solebury Thunder soccer team.
This Sunday, January 30th, the Central Bucks YMCA hosts the Maloof High Ollie Challenge from 1-4pm. This is really cool! Thanks to YMCA's park sponsor, Reign Skate, the Skate Park will be one of 15 sites in the country to host the Maloof High Ollie Challenge on Sunday January 30th @ 1 PM. The winner from here will get flown to Vegas for the finals and a chance to win $15,000!
Who's chili will reign supreme? A winner will be chosen Sunday at the Fifteenth Annual Chili Cook-off, happening from 1-4pm in New Hope. Come in from the cold for a spicy hot competition, featuring some of the tastiest, tangiest and most original chili created by the finest local restaurants and accompanied by Lambertville’s award winning – River Horse Brewery beers.
