The warm weather on Wednesday has officially sent me into Spring Fever mode! Break out those Easter dresses and sit outside in the sunshine (hopefully) to conserve energy in honor of Earth day. Check out our calendar to plan your weekend events and use our Restaurant Guide to plan an Easter Brunch. Don't forget to check out our article in Bucks Local News! While you're at it, enjoy these fun events around town:
For 3 days, from Thursday, April 21st to Saturday April 23rd, Shady Brook Farm in Yardley is celebrating with an Easter Egg Hunt extravaganza. Each day from 11am to 4pm, stop by for hayride, prizes, eggs, container and crafts. Cost is $8 per child while adults ride and enjoy for free! Bring non-perishable food item or pair of shoes for Re-Use Your Shoes and take $1.00 off admission. Check out more Easter fun here.
So happy it's getting warmer that you could just sing? You can at the The Clubhouse Bar & Grill in Newtown on Thursday nights. Check out more Karaoke fun happening every single week in Bucks County here.
Earth Day (officially Friday April 22nd)
All Starbucks will serve free coffee or tea to anyone who brings in a travel mug on Friday in celebration of Earth Day.
Go Green and celebrate Earth Day in Bucks! In Upper Makefield, the Earth Day Celebration will be held outdoors on Saturday, April 23rd (rain or shine) and includes exhibits, seminars, demonstrations, live animals and many other fun things to do to promote conservation.
One week later on April 30th, Warrington Township will be participating in the world-wide celebration of Earth Day. The 10th Annual Earth Day Event will be held at Twin Oaks Day Camp, from 11:00 am. to 3:00 pm. Rain date is Sunday, May 1, 2011. Come join the fun with your family, friends and neighbors, and show your commitment to the environment. We welcome everyone to join us to plant flowers, build rain barrels, maintain detention basins, label neighborhood storm drains and clean up around the Township. Lunch and snacks will be served. In 2010, over 150 volunteers attended and helped make Warrington a cleaner more beautiful place to live.
