2nd Annual Doylestown Art Days
Doylestown

The Doylestown Alliance, in cooperation with local galleries, merchants, art organizations, artists and local schools, are celebrating the second annual Doylestown Art Days throughout the town of Doylestown from June 4 – 7, 2015. Over 80 of Doylestown’s merchants are being paired with local artists, students and professionals, painters, photographers, musicians and performers for this four day event. The town is being turned into one giant art gallery, the art will be displayed in shops and windows and special performances are planned throughout town

Historic Spring Garden Mill, 1440 Newtown-Richboro Road (Rte 332), Newtown

An intense study of a brilliant mind that immerses viewers in the “texture of thoughts”. Red follows renowned expressionist Mark Rothko as he executes a series of murals that in 1958 represent the biggest modern art commission in history. The play follows the evolving tension between Rothko and his young assistant that culminates in what Dramatists describes as ” the agonizing possibility that his crowning achievement could also become his undoing”. A portrait of intense retrospection, ambition, and vulnerability, and an exhilarating explosion of activity and paint that you won't soon forget.
First Fridays on the Delaware
Radcliffe Street & Mill Street, Bristol

The quaint and historic riverfront town of Bristol Borough will be hosting First Fridays June through September (June 5, July 3, August 7, September 4) from 5 to 8 pm along Mill Street. This fun, interactive event will include: family-fun entertainment, musical performances, an art walk, a community mosaic project, and more!
Tyler Tasting Party
Tyler Mansion, 275 Swamp Road, Newtown
6:00pm – 10:00pm
Join Bucks County Community College for their annual Tyler Tasting Party, a premier food and wine tasting event. This event raises funds for students enrolled in the College’s Historic Preservation Program, and to restore and maintain Tyler Hall, the French-Norman style mansion on the National Register of Historic Places and cornerstone of the Newtown campus. The growth of this event over the years, which annually attracts more than 500 people, remains a source of pride to the Foundation.
Escape After Dark at the Newtown Athletic Club
120 Pheasant Run, Newtown
8:00pm – 10:00pm
Help kick off Friday Nights at Escape with live entertainment overlooking the NAC’s gorgeous resort-style pool. First week's performer is Jessy Kyle (Soul, Jazz, Pop Covers).
Newtown Strawberry Festival
Historic Presbyterian Church 25 N Chancellor Street, Newtown
11:00am – 3:00pm
Come kick off the Summer with children’s games, face painting, balloon art, special children’s raffle items and a sale of gently used toys and children’s books. Musical entertainment will be provided by DJ’s during the entire event. The event starts is on June 6th from 11-3 the rain date will be Sunday June 7th.
