Storytelling is a long-standing oral tradition that plays a pivotal role in preserving personal, family and world stories as well as a means of sharing them across generations. A program to collect stories began this spring at the Margaret R. Grundy Memorial Library, 680 Radcliffe Street. Those efforts culminate in the event Everyone Has a Story to Tell, an exhibit celebrating diversity through unique personal stories this fall at the Library. On Thursday, October 1, 2015 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm the public is invited to attend the exhibit opening to experience some of the collected stories, and to learn more about Bristol’s diverse historic community. The exhibit continues through October 31, 2015 during regular library hours.
