New Hope Celebrates Pride

It’s time to celebrate and have a good time! Join us for our 12th Anniversary Pride Celebration, in New Hope, Bucks County, PA. & Lambertville, NJ. Come find your rainbow! Great LGBT events, the only Pride parade to cross a state line, block party, vendor fair, theater, arts, history, shopping, charming accommodations, great dining, live music, dancing and Discover New Hope’s original gay resort – The Raven. The parade kicks off in Lambertville, NJ and crosses the bridge to New Hope, PA. Immediately following Saturday’s parade will be a festive block party and vendor fair in downtown New Hope featuring fabulous entertainers including Jason Walker, Eryn Woods, Christine Martucci, Josh Zuckerman and headliner Antigone Rising. Wrap up the week on Sunday with a Ladies 2000 Tea Dance at Havana and the closing dance at The Raven. Check out our photo recap from previous Pride festivals here.

An Enemy of the People

Ringing with contemporary resonance as headlines debate the thin line between whistleblower and traitor, this play asks us just what is best for the common good. Our protagonist Dr. Stockmann discovers a possible toxic contamination endangering the town’s sole industry. His brother, the Mayor, launches a counter attack that threatens to tear their community—and family—apart.

Broadway finds Main Street! Star of the Day launches an all-new 2015 Broadway Musical Series at McCoole's Arts & Events Place beginning with the popular Gypsy. Gypsy is a classic! With its colorful story, beautiful music, and dazzling costumes the audiences will be entertained and excited for this brand new theater company taking over McCoole's Theater in Quakertown, PA. Gypsy, the 1959 musical with music by Jule Styne, lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, and a book by Arthur Laurents, is loosely based on the 1957 memoirs of Gypsy Rose Lee, the famous striptease artist, and focuses on her mother, Momma Rose, whose name has become synonymous with “the ultimate show business mother.”

Attention craft beer enthusiasts! You’ll want to head over to Isaac Newton’s for a delicious day celebrating Stone Brewing Company, one of the legends of the modern craft beer movement. The event kicks off at 11:30am with an Ultimate Tap Take-over at your 2015 Happening List “Beer Bar” winner. Every tap will feature Stone Brewing Company brews, including many rare and limited edition beers. There will also be plenty of Stone-inspired food specials on hand all day long. Lee Marron and Hal Bittner from Stone will be at Isaac’s to celebrate.
Amy’s Ride/Walk Against Pancreatic Cancer
