Lower Makefield Township First Friday Family Fun Night: A Day at the Races!

When: Friday, February 1 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Where: LMT Community Center, 1550 Oxford Valley Road (around the corner from the Township building)

This free event is hosted by the Lower Makefield Hot Wheel Racing Club. Local Hot Wheels enthusiast, Bill Gould, will be sharing his race track with the community. Bring your Hot Wheels to see what they can do! There will be games, crafts and music.

Kids Valentine’s Day Party at Neshaminy Mall

When: Friday, February 1 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Where: 707 Neshaminy Mall, Bensalem

It’s the first Friday of the month, and that means Family Fun at Neshaminy Mall! This month’s theme is Valentine’s Day. There will be a craft from 5:30 – 6:30 and cupcake decorating at 7 p.m. Both activities are free. Supplies are limited, so it’s best to get there as they start. There will also be costumed characters, moonbounces, balloon art, canvas painting with Penelope Fox Art Studio and more! In addition, there will be lots of vendors to do some shopping.

Wine & Chocolate Pairing at Chaddsford Winery's Wine Shop & Tasting Room in Peddler's Village

When: Saturdays and Sundays in February from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Where: 2450 Street Road, Lahaska

Celebrate the month of love with a perfect pairing of wine and chocolate. Explore this self-guided tasting with your special someone as you sip and savor over 5 artisan chocolates carefully paired with Chaddsford Winery's award-winning wines. This event will feature Laurie's Chocolates and Gemelli – Artisanal Gelato & Dessert Cafe. There will be live music from Bill Thomas on Sunday, February 3 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Tickets are $25 per person when purchased in advance. There will be a limited number of on-site tickets available at $30 per person. Space is limited, so make a reservation today.

Yardley Farmers Market Indoor Winter Market

When: Saturday, February 2 from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Where: Yardley Friends Meeting, 65 N. Main Street, Yardley

Shop over 20 local vendors at this indoor market offering a range of seasonal veggies, greens, fresh herbs, prepared foods, cheeses, pasture-raised meats, fresh eggs, and more. There will be bakery items (traditional artisan and gluten-free) as well as other producer-only vendors including soap and body products and handmade Alpaca items.

Bucks County Genealogical Society Program, “Discover Your Immigrant Origins: Eastern Europe”

When: Saturday, February 2 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. (doors open at 9:30 a.m.)

Where: David Library of the American Revolution, 1201 River Road, Washington Crossing

“Discover Your Immigrant Origins: Eastern Europe” will be presented by Professional Genealogist Michelle Chubenko. Learn what records are available to assist you in determining your Eastern European ancestor’s home village and their emigration to the United States. This lecture focuses on mid-19th century through 20th century immigration from Austro-Hungarian Empire which today includes Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, Czech Republic, and western Ukraine. Come early to enjoy complimentary coffee and snacks while socializing from 9:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. This event is hosted by The Bucks County Genealogical Society. It is open to the public and costs $5 for Members and $10 for non-members.
