Have you considered a career in healthcare, but the cost of tuition has held you back?
Bucks County Community College is partnering with PA CareerLink to offer free healthcare training for unemployed local residents. Information sessions about the healthcare certificate programs will take place December 4th, 5th and 6th.
Bucks County Community College, in partnership with PA CareerLink, is seeking unemployed or underemployed Bucks County residents to apply for a healthcare certificate program. Training is free for those who meet eligibility requirements.
PA CareerLink will determine if applicants qualify for free tuition. Programs offered include EKG Technician Hybrid, Nurse Aide Certification, and Pharmacy Technician. In most cases, students can complete these certificate programs in less than a year.
Attend a free information session about these opportunities on the following dates and locations:
- Wednesday, December 4 at 12:30 p.m. – Founders Hall room 009, Bucks County Community College Newtown Campus, 275 Swamp Rd., Newtown, Pa.
- Thursday, December 5 at 12:30 p.m. – South Building Room 257, Bucks County Community College Upper Bucks Campus, One Hillendale Rd., Perkasie, Pa.
- Friday, December 6 at 1 p.m. – PA CareerLink, 1260 Veterans Highway, Bristol, Pa.
Students must be at least 18 years old; have either a high school diploma or GED (with exception for Nurse Aide); and must be a U.S. Citizen or possess a Green Card.
