Doylestown native Christy Jefferson is bringing her most recent album, Agree to Disagree, to Peddler’s Village.  On September 8th, Jefferson will be performing live at the 2nd Buckshappening.com happy hour at Sweet Lorraine’s (Free food! Please make sure to register in advance).  This event was already going to be a blast, but with the addition of Jefferson, boredom doesn’t stand a chance.

Christy Jefferson has been making music professionally for the past seven years, releasing 6 albums; Agree to Disagree being the most recent (2009).  Her ability to show herself through her music has gotten her opening slots for Kansas, collaboration with Buck Dharma from Blue Oyster Cult, and most recently production from Shelly Yakus (U2, John Lennon, Stevie Nix, Tom Petty, Suzanne Vega).  Her passion and success in the industry did not come without hard work—Jefferson graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.A. in music performance from Kutztown University.

Jefferson’s talent playing both guitar and piano in addition to her emotion-filled lead vocals gives her band, Vogon Poetry, a wide range of options to work with.  Jefferson believes that in order to have such range, a person needs to have negative experiences to appreciate the positive ones and vice versa.  Agree to Disagree displays that range of talent and emotion.  With a full band in support, there is a certain darkness that has not been seen before.  Jefferson’s influences, Tori Amos, Counting Crows, Ben Folds, Billy Joel, Jewel, Sarah McLachlan, Joni Mitchell and Five for Fighting, have all contributed to her new sound.

Get ready for an awesome solo performance by Christy Jefferson this Wednesday, September 8th at Sweet Lorraine’s.
