The Yardley-Makefield Library will host a free business seminar about social media on Wednesday, November 10 from 6-8pm

Everyone’s talking about it. But who’s doing it and doing it well? Should you be doing it, too, and can it help you make money? We’re talking about Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Foursquare – social media platforms that may be able to help you get more customers and improve your business.

If you’re wondering how something like Facebook can work for your business, check out a free program 6-8 pm this Wednesday, November 10, at the Yardley-Makefield Branch of the Bucks County Free Library, 1080 Edgewood Road, Yardley, PA 19067.

Chuck Hall, local marketing & social media expert

“Going Social: Building Your Business in the Web 2.0 World” is offered free by the library and made possible by the generous support of the Hamilton G. Disbrow Fund. The program will offer an overview of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, FourSquare, and blogging. The program will explain why there’s so much interest in these platforms and what some businesses are doing to enhance performance. The program will also provide a sound strategic framework for evaluating how these new social approaches may help your business.

The program will be led by Chuck Hall, a Bucks County businessman who is principal of Your Marketing Exec, LLC. Chuck is a frequent speaker and trainer on social business topics, and advocates that social business must be built on the core foundation of the business and disciplined process management. He is currently writing a book, “Mastering the Dynamics of Social Business” which will be published in 2011.

Questions about the content of the program may be directed to Chuck@yourmarketingexec.com. For information or directions to the Library, please contact the library directly at 215-493-9020. Information may also be found at www.BucksLib.org
