The search is on for a Bucks County poetry ambassador. Area residents are invited to submit ten original poems for consideration to be the next Bucks County Poet Laureate.
This is the 41st cycle of this contest open to any resident over the age of 18 who has not previously served as the county's poet laureate. This person will attend local writing events and be a conduit between the arts and Bucks County Residents. The winner will take over from 2017 poet laureate Katherine Hahn Falk of Newtown, the winner the previous year was Laren McClung of Bensalem.
Submissions must be postmarked by September 5 to Bucks County Community College. Entry forms and poems should be mailed to Poet Laureate Contest, Language & Literature Dept., Bucks County Community College, 275 Swamp Rd., Newtown, Pa., 18940.
