As summer winds down, many families gear up for Back to School. But Back to School isn’t just for youngsters. It’s also an opportunity for adults to explore new opportunities through continuing education.
Did you know that Bucks County Community College offers nearly 80 academic programs of study? And for those too busy to make it to the classroom, nearly two dozen majors can completed 100% online. Now could be your time – the time to master a new skill, broaden your horizons, or even prepare for a career change.
Continuing education can help you boost your employment options, and sharpen your overall skills as a lifelong learner. Opportunities range from Professional Development certification courses in areas such as construction, information technology, and fashion design, to personal passion courses like card games, belly dancing, and cooking. Businesses can also take advantage of training opportunities to develop their teams. Group classes are offered on topics like Business Leadership, Communication, Computers, OSHA, Hazmat, and Safety.
Most fall semester credit courses begin August 23, with additional courses starting in September and October. Noncredit offerings begin on a rolling schedule, and range from Floral Design to Computer Programming and everything in between. - Health Science Associate Degree
- Social Media & Digital Marketing Certificate (complete in as little as one semester)
- Fire Science Certificate
- Fire Prevention and Investigation Certificate
New students are encouraged to come to campus for in-person advising and registration from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, August 17, Friday, August 18, or Monday, August 21 in the Linksz Pavilion, located on the campus at 275 Swamp Rd., Newtown, Pa., 18940. Students can also register in-person for noncredit courses through Continuing Education, Workforce Development, or the Public Safety and Training Center on these dates.
In addition, in-person advising and registration for credit courses takes place from 1 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, August 15, at the Lower Bucks Campus, located at 1304 Veterans Highway, Bristol, Pa., 19007; and from 1 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at the Upper Bucks Campus, located at One Hillendale Rd., Perkasie, Pa., 18944.
