It's Kentucky Derby weekend and there's a lot happening right here in Bucks County! Whether you're looking to celebrate in your fancy hat or participate in a race of your own (don't worry, two-legged contestants only), listed below are just a few entertainment options for you and your family to enjoy. Not a Derby person? Have no fear. As usual, Bucks county has a variety of great events planned for this weekend. Check them out!

Kentucky Derby “Run for the Rosés” at Crossing Vineyards

When: Saturday, May 1st, 12:00 – 6:00 pm
Where: Crossing Vineyards and Winery, 1853 Wrightstown Road, Newtown, PA 18940

Peace Valley Duathlon

When: Saturday, May 1st, 7:30 – 10:30 am
Where: Peace Valley Park, 230 Creek Road, Doylestown, PA

If you aren't into watching the races but would rather race for yourself, this one's for you! The Peace Valley Duathlon is a beginner friendly event and welcomes all new runners and bikers to participate. Ride the Grand Carousel

When: Friday & Saturday, 10:00 am – 9:00 pm, Sunday, 10:00 am – 6:00 pm
Where: Giggleberry Fair, Peddler's Village, Route 263, Lahaska, PA

Take the whole family and experience the thrill of horseback riding on the grand carousel. Featuring over 950 clear light bulbs and forty six hand carved wood figures, the carousel offers a magical experience for both children and adults. Added bonus: At least eight of the horses have real horse tails.

Comedy Night at the Theatre

Enjoy a night of live comedy at the historic Newtown Theatre! Robert Kelly, also known as the host of the top-rated You Know What Dude? podcast is refreshing and honest. His comedy is rooted in his own life and relationships and he's been capturing audiences for many years. The show is for mature audiences only (age 18+) and general admission includes two drinks. Doors open at 5 pm for the 6 pm show and 8:15 pm for the 9 pm show.

Strawberry Month at Peddler's Village

When: May 1 – May 31
Where: 2400 Street Road, New Hope, PA 18938

May 1st is the beginning of Strawberry Month at Peddler’s Village. Every day in May, savor strawberry-themed food and drink specials at the restaurants. Weekends will hold live entertainment and strawberry treats served at outdoor food tents.
