Honey Bee Meet & Greet

Have you ever wondered how all those honey bees get into a hive? Find out on Saturday, March 30 at 2:00pm for a Honey Bee Meet & Greet. Watch as the Churchville Nature Center introduces 2 new packages of bees into their hives. All from a safe distance. See how Dave Spencer, the apiarist, coerces over 20,000 new bees into their new homes and introduces them to their new queen. Discover the unique ways honey bees learn from each other. This is a FREE event and no registration is required. Due to the welfare of the bees, this event is weather dependent.

The Barn Nature Center Egg Hunt

The Barn Nature Center Egg Hunt is taking place March 30th, 2024 from 10:30am to 12:00pm to get in the spring spirit. This Open-House style event will feature a bunny photo both, an egg decorating contest, a visit with many of our egg laying animals, refreshments, and of course a hunt for eggs. The event will be held rain or shine, and the egg hunt will begin at 11:45am.
