Virtual Suicide Prevention Conference

Lenape Valley Foundation (LVF) will host a virtual suicide prevention conference on Wednesday, October 7. New Frontiers in Suicide Prevention will be held via Zoom from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm. The conference is co-hosted by the Bucks County Suicide Prevention Task Force.
The keynote speaker is Frank R. Campbell, Ph.D, LCSW, C.T. Dr. Campbell is the Executive Director Emeritus of the Baton Rouge Crisis Intervention Center, where he serves as Volunteer Chair of the National Suicidology Training Center (NSTC). In addition, he is the Senior Consultant for Campbell and Associates Consulting where he consults with communities on Active Postvention efforts and Forensic Suicidology cases.
The conference will also include two successive breakout sessions. Building Resiliency During Times of Distress and Loss will be facilitated by LVF staff members Kara Sharp, LPC, NCC and Julie Piper, MA, LPC. Crisis, Suicide and Telehealth will be facilitated by LVF’s Associate Executive Director of Crisis Services, Kristopher Thompson, LCSW.
The conference is open to the public, however online reservations are required in order to receive the Zoom link. The registration fee is $20. The program is pending approved by the National Association of Social Workers for three continuing education credits.
