Along with the kids going back to school and cooler temperatures greeting us each day, the arrival of fall in Bucks County also brings an abundance of weekend fairs to attend.  While each fair has it's own distinct character, you can always bet on unique vendors, tasty treats, and an overall fun way to spend a crisp fall day.  Below are a few of the fairs you can check out in Bucks County throughout the rest of September.

Historical Festival and Hartzel-Strassburger Open House, Sellersville, PA

WHEN: Saturday, September 18, 2010  10AM – 3PM

WHERE: Hartzel-Strassburger Homestead and Library, 407 Keystone Drive & Bethlehem Pike, Sellersville, PA

DESCRIPTION: Annual Fall Festival and Open House in a circa 1847 Homestead with local artisans and crafts people, live demonstrations, silent auction, antiques and collectibles, book sale, bake sale, refreshments and more.

Peddler's Village Scarecrow Festival, Lahaska, PA

WHEN: Saturday, September 18, 2010 10am – 9pm and Sunday, September 19, 2010 11am – 6pm

WHERE: Peddler's Village, Lahaska, PA

DESCRIPTION: Attend a scarecrow-making or pumpkin painting workshop,  enjoy live entertainment, and watch the pumpkin pie eating contests while you stroll among the many colorful scarecrows on display throughout the village.

Fall Car Show and Craft Show, Bristol, PA

WHEN: Sunday, September 19, 2010  10AM – 5PM

WHERE: Mill Street, Bristol, PA

DESCRIPTION: Fall Car & Craft Show sponsored by the Bristol Borough Business Association.

The Peace Fair, Buckingham, PA

WHEN: Saturday, September 25, 2010 10:30AM – 4PM

WHERE: On the grounds of Buckingham Friends Meeting and School, 5684 Old York Road, Lahaska PA

DESCRIPTION: The Peace Fair features local artists and craftspeople, live music, food, poetry and plenty of kids’ games and activities, as well as exhibits by non-profit organizations whose focus is peace, community service and the environment. Groups like the Peace Center, A Woman’s Place, the United Nations Association, and many others are on hand at The Peace Fair to help raise awareness through educational displays and information.  Families participate in cooperative games, browse craft and book sale tables, and listen to entertainers like Ecoman and Fred’s Mobile Homes (Philadelphia’s finest Bluegrass band!)

Warwick Day, Jamison, PA

WHEN: Saturday, September 25, 2010 11AM – 5PM
Rain Date: Saturday, October 16, 2010

WHERE: Warwick Township’s Guinea Lane Park, Jamison, PA

DESCRIPTION: Warwick Day is a community day event that includes crafters, vendors, children’s activities, inflatables, food, petting zoo, games and entertainment!

New Hope Outdoor Arts and Crafts Festival, New Hope, PA

WHEN: Saturday and Sunday, September 25 & 26, 2010
Saturday 10AM to 6PM, Sunday  10AM – 5PM (rain or shine)

WHERE: Main Street, New Hope PA

DESCRIPTION: Outdoor Art and Crafts Festival in historic downtown New Hope PA. Juried show includes fine arts, paintings, jewelry, photography, and fine crafts. Free to the public. Spend a long weekend in eclectic New Hope, and discover all the great stores, good restaurants, and quaint B&B's.

Harvest Day Festival, Yardley, PA

DESCRIPTION: Annual arts and crafts festival with artists and crafters, food, entertainment and more.
