As summer comes to an end, many children will be exchanging hours of biking, swimming, running, and other forms of outdoor play for time spent in the classroom. While this learning time is essential, it’s also important to keep kids active throughout the school year. That’s where the Newtown Athletic Club (NAC) can help!

The NAC offers a variety of recreational and competitive classes and youth sports.
Registration begins this month!

Benefits of Youth Programming

Types of Youth Programs

The NAC's Youth Plex is designed to offer both noncompetitive and competitive programs for children ages 1 through 12.  Programs are designed to appeal to all children with their individual interests in mind.  The goal is for every child to feel welcome in a safe place where he/she can participate in an activity where they are comfortable enough to be themselves.

They offer recreational dance, gymnastics & Tae Kwon Do classes to their Members & general public. For the little athlete, they offer youth sports such as dance team, exhibition gymnastics, hip-hop crew, swim team, competitive cheerleading, Parisi Speed School training & more. New kid fitness classes they have recently added to their fall schedule include Mighty Pups, Gaga & More, Kick Ball of All Sorts, Fancy Nancy Prima Ballerinas Dance, and Tiny Cheer!

Here's just a sample of the classes available:

Bon-Appefit – Children will learn about the nutrition plate and how healthy foods will fuel their body. They will create, prepare and sample nutritious food choices.

Ninja-nastics – Children will acquire a better understanding of their body’s movement through obstacle, parkour and gymnastics.

Brains & brawn – A challenge class where kids face challenges using their minds and their muscles with new challenges each week.

Jump around – Using everything from jump ropes to trampolines, children will participate in activities that will keep them bouncing off the walls… safely!

New for the Fall …

Mighty Pups – A continuation of the NAC's exciting Paw Fit Class! NAC Pups will continue to Save The Day with brand new adventures!

Kick Ball of all Sorts – This is no ordinary Kick Ball…this is Kick Ball with a twist. Kids will venture outside the NAC to play a variety of new Kick Ball Games.

Fancy Nancy Prima Ballerinas Dance – “Tendu!” That’s Fancy for “point your toe.” Lil ballerinas will enjoy learning all sorts of new “Fancy” ballet terms and techniques in French.

Tiny Cheer – Rock Starz cheer organization was established in 2007 and quickly grew into a renowned cheer program in Bucks County. They now have 9 world champion co-ed cheer teams, including tiny cheer for ages 4-6. For those registering for Tiny Cheer, you will have the option to choose between their expo or prep team. Email cheerinfo@newtownathletic.com to learn more.
