Peace Valley Park – Kid's/Father's Day Fishing Derby:

The annual Kid's/Father's Day Fishing Derby is taking place this year on June 17th from 7:30am – 11:45am. There will be giveaways, prizes, and awards! You must pre-register for this event on or before June 11th. This very successful event will be held rain or shine. It is a catch and release derby for boys and girls ages 5 to 15 years in four age categories. Don't forget to bring a bucks, bait, fishing pole, net, and barb-less hooks! The event is taking place at Anglers Pier/Pavilion #1 in New Britain.

Crossing Vineyards and Winery:

Maybe your father considers himself to be a wine connoisseur. Then you may want to try Wine Tasting for Dads at the Crossing Vineyards and Winery. This event will include a five-course gourmet food and wine pairing at $55 per person, plus tax and gratuity. This delicious wine tasting will take place on June 17th and start at 12:00pm. Bristol Riverside Theater – One Man Star Wars Trilogy:

Perhaps your father is more of a Star Wars fan. Then the best father's day gift would be tickets to see the One Man Star Wars Trilogy at the Bristol Riverside Theater. May the force be with you and transport you into the world of the Jedi. Writer and actor Charles Ross will sing, fly, and battle every aspect of Lucasfilms' famous trilogy, with appearances by some of your favorite characters! There will be two showings: Saturday, June 16th at 8:00pm and Sunday, June 17th at 3:00pm. Tickets are $30 per person but students under the age of 25 and with proper ID can get the student rate of $15.
