Sunday was the official start to the NFL season, as evidenced by my jersey-wearing, Jets-loving husband.  Now, as anyone who knows me personally is aware, I am by no means a football fan.  However, I can appreciate the good times to be had in during the NFL season (I will just be watching the awesome commercials).  Here are some local football hot spots:

  • McStew's Irish Sports Pub:  5316 New Falls Road Levittown. McStew's has 33 TVs, including  14 HD.  You can enjoy one of their 15 beers on tap and on Monday nights McStew's All You Can Eat Wings and Pizza for $4.99.  They have the Direct TV NFL Package.
  • Stephanie's:  29 South Main Street in Doylestown.  Stephanie's has the NFL package for all of those close to Doylestown.  Enjoy their 15 HDTVs.  They have some cool beers.  Check them out for specific Monday night specials.
  • Green Parrot Irish Pub: 240 N Sycamore St. Newtown.  Green Parrot is a great new place in Newtown.  Their place was just built this year, so they have 17 brand new flat screen TVs in the pub alone.  On Mondays you can enjoy $3 Heinekens and Amstels during the game, as well as some cool giveaways like Eagles jerseys and Heneiken/Amstel tees.  In addition to NFL, Parrot has MLB, Golf, NBA, NHL and International Soccer & Rugby.
  • The Clubhouse:  The Clubhouse has 25¢ wings, $2 Bud/Bud Light drafts and bottles for $2.75.  Call ahead if you are looking for specific games though, I don't think they have the NFL package.
  • The Buck Hotel:  1200 Buck Road Feasterville.  The website boasts the “largest screen TV in Bucks County as well as 26 other- TV's in the bar area.”  Their Monday night special includes 40¢ jumbo wings to enjoy while watching the game.  They only play the network game on Monday nights, but they do have the DirectTV NFL ticket for Sundays.
