Southampton is in for a Treat
The Great Outdoors
The beloved Steam Pub in Southampton is gearing up for big changes. They have been working hard to accommodate all their fans and promise patrons won't be disappointed. Owner, Martin Hoeger, recently shared with us the exciting news that your favorite pub is in for a fabulous makeover. The outside area is being doubled in capacity, complete with an outdoor bar that will hold up to 20 patrons. Part of the outdoor renovation will include a covered area for guests to relax in the shade. The current deck is getting a facelift and upon completion will be able entertain 75- 80 guests.
As Steam Pub conveniently sits on the hiking and biking trail Martin shares that both Steam Pub's kitchen expansion and the planned Steam Coffee Company, situated across the street in the old Southampton train station will include trail friendly eats. With Steam's deck expansion comes the need for a larger kitchen line to service it and in doing so the kitchen will offer grab and go options for hikers and bikers alike. Signage for the trails will also be put in place for guests to scan QR codes and order up food to go.
The renovation plans also include a handicap entrance from the trail and new steps as well, and the ramp from the parking lot is getting a makeover too.
