I have always been a “serial dater” when it comes to hair stylists. It wasn't because I was necessarily having bd experiences anywhere, but I was “playing the field,” so to speak. Until a few years ago, that is. When I was planning my wedding, I was recommended Gia Mora, at Salon Fusion by DL, and I have become a hair monogamist!
We caught up with Gia recently, to get the inside scoop on why she is so fabulous at all things hair.
Bucks Happening: How long have you been a hair stylist?
Gia Mora: I have been a hair stylist for 13 years.
BH: Which salon do you work for? Where did you work in the past?
GM: Salon Fusion by DL. I have worked at High Tech Hair Studio for five years before making the change to Salon Fusion.
BH: What made you want to be a stylist?
GM: I always loved doing hair. However, what made me go to beauty school was a very bad haircut that I got. It was so bad that it took two years to grow out. All from a picture, I gave the stylist of how I wanted my haircut. After she was done, I cried and my hair looked nothing like the picture. That is when she told me that my hair texture was not the same as the girl in the picture…

BH: What’s your favorite thing about your job?
GM: Making people feel and look beautiful.
BH: What’s the #1 best hair tip that people don’t know?
GM: HAIR TEXTURE IS EVERYTHING… I teach my clients to view hair like u would fabric.
BH: Where do you get your inspiration?
GM: People. I am always looking at people’s hair. The way it moves, swings, and lays. Seeing what I would do different.
BH: Are you originally from Bucks County? How long have you lived in the area? No, I am originally from Collegeville, pa. I moved to Bucks County about 20 years ago.
BH: Do you have any famous clients? At the present time, no, not that I’m aware of. I was once Frank Dileo’s Stylist. He was Michael Jackson’s manager, and he was in the movie, “Goodfellas“.
BH: What’s the “hottest new trend” in hair?
GM: The Brazilian Hair Treatment. A Treatment that gets rid of frizz… It is unbelievable
BH: Outside of your job, what do you love doing? Hobbies, places to go out, etc.
GM: I love doing anything outdoors… Well except golf….
