After graduation from CB West last year, Doylestown's Anthony Marchione took a chance; he auditioned at the Philadelphia school of the performing arts with no formal training.
That risk paid off when he was accepted. A talented self taught musician, Anthony's road hasn't always been easy. When Anthony was a baby he was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis, a chronic lung disease that has no cure. Despite this devastating diagnosis Anthony has thrived and always no matter what activity he was into at the time he had to be the best.
His Aunt Larisa proudly recalls, “He started roller blading at age 5 and after all his hard work and dedication, he was just signed with Kaltik after entering a contest. He received a $1000 and is now sponsored by Kaltik…this event had contestants from all over the world. I believe his determination and perseverance are a inspiration to young kids that you can do anything even if the odds are against you.”
Anthony still makes time to visit the local YMCA where he loves to go help the younger children who look up to him.
