Our Bucks Happening real bride of the month, presented by La Belle Mariée, is Christie.

How did you and your now husband meet?

Christie: My husband and I met through mutual friends and our mutual love for going to happy hours.  The first few times we had hung out was with our mutual friends in New Hope, PA, which is also where we shared many of our memories. Our first date, our first dating anniversary, many happy hours, bar crawls, dinner with friends, and our engagement!  Brian proposed to me on the New Hope-Lambertville Bridge, in the middle of the bridge where PA meets NJ. Brian is from NJ; I’m from PA. We just had to chose a venue close to where we had so many milestones together.

Tell us about your wedding location and why you chose it!

Christie: We chose Hotel du Village (New Hope, PA) which was the most beautiful and perfect venue, it was exactly our style in the perfect location, New Hope! We also chose to stay at the Lambertville Inn with our bridal party and guests. This way we could get pictures on the NJ side and PA side, as well as on the bridge.  Brian and I also shared our “First Look” on that same bridge he proposed on (it was a chilly, chilly first look in the middle of February, but worth it). Which is why a few of those photos on the bridge with Brian and my girls are just simply perfect!

What was your favorite moment from the day of your wedding?

Christie: I think one of my favorite moments from my wedding day was when we said our vows. We wrote our own vows which made it so personal and heartfelt. The day was so hectic, but as soon as I walked down the aisle, everything just fell into place. We both thought we would be nervous standing up there, but there was something about having all of our loved ones with us as we made our commitment to each other just made everything perfect.  We could feel the love in the room.

How did your dress make you feel?

Christie: My dress made me feel so wonderful! I wish it was acceptable for me to wear it everyday! I love everything about it. It fit me perfectly, it was exactly my style and exactly what I have pictured for myself in a wedding gown since I was a little girl.  I even slept in it on my wedding night:)  (photo below, photo cred: father of the bride)

And what did your Bridesmaids wear?

Christie: I just LOVE the way the mismatched dresses turned out. I am so happy that I had the courage and vision to go with it and La Belle Mariee had the most beautiful options that made each of my bridesmaids regardless of age, size, body type, feel comfortable and beautiful.

The Bridesmaids: Her bridesmaids, wearing mismatched gowns that look amazing together! Occasions: style 5506, 5527, 5525, and 5515. Jenny Yoo Madelyn gown and Badgley Mischka BM15-13. Christie mixed colors of champagne, Merlot,  and frosted violet and fabrics of Satin, tulle, and chiffon. A perfect example that one color and one fabric does not have to fit all maids!

Which of these pictures is your favorite and why?

Christie: I have so many favorite pictures, but like I had mentioned before the few on the bridge are on my top 10. As well as the one during our ceremony when we said our vows.
