Fire damage, windstorm, flood, water damage, lightning, frozen pipes, vandalism/theft. These are all things that no home or business owner wants to think about. But when you’re faced with damage and loss, you want to know that there are good people on your side. It’s times like these that Bucks County families and businesses turn to Hillis Adjustment Agency.

When asked about how things have changed, Bob commented, “The day we started, I remember my wife and I going through the yellow pages phonebook and calling each individual insurance companies’ main number to notify the claim. Now we have every insurance company and mortgage company's information in the country in our database, as well as over 50,000 clients.”

Bob and Karen Hillis started their business, Hillis Adjustment Agency, Inc. in their back bedroom of their house in 1987. Then it was in the basement, and eventually, they bought an office building in Bensalem. They’ve been there for over 22 years and even won a beautification award for renovating the building. At first, it was just Karen and Bob running the business. They had their daughter Laura in 1988, and they would work all day and night with her by their side. Over the years, the team grew. Today, they are a team of 6 Public Adjusters, 8 office staff and multiple solicitors. Their daughter Laura and son-in-law Jason Solomon are now part of that team.
