Jericho National Golf Club, an exclusive club tucked into the beautiful back hills of New Hope, Pennsylvania, offers an off-the-beaten-path option for local or destination weddings. The club opened in 1996 and quickly established itself as one of the finest private courses in Bucks County. Named for nearby Jericho Mountain, the club offers 235 acres of breathtaking views of the rolling hills of Bucks County countryside. The club is private, but is open to the public for events, and the combination of quiet surroundings and top-notch service make it a great choice for a wedding.gaz

Ceremonies take place outside in a gazebo that overlooks the golf course. Receptions are held in the second story ballroom that boasts a panoramic view of the golf course and can accommodate 250 guests.

“Even if the weather isn’t cooperating, you still have the gorgeous picturesque views of the golf course,” says Carmella Bryant, Banquet Sales Coordinator for the club. “The location is quiet and serene, which is refreshing and something you don’t often see.”

unnamedAnother benefit of choosing Jericho National is their commitment to service. “We only have one wedding at one time,” explains Bryant. “That sets us apart from a lot of other venues.” Limiting events to one wedding at a time allows the staff at Jericho National to offer undivided attention to one event instead of juggling several at a time. The staff is more available for clients to give them the service they deserve. “That’s ultimately what couples want,” says Bryant. “The day to center around them and I couldn’t agree more!”

Bryant doesn’t plan weddings, but she does provide knowledge, guidance, and recommendations on anything they need. Every style of wedding is available at the club, and it has hosted simple and over-the-top celebrations and everything in between. Bryant says that one of the trends lately has been to make the wedding very personal. “Couples are showcasing memorabilia that has significance to them, making the actual wedding nostalgic,” she says.

Other fun trends that Jericho has seen among their wedding celebrations are personlized his and hers signature cocktails, named to reflect a memory of significant detail of the couple’s relationship, and photosharing among guests with a wedding hashtag so their guests can post and view on Instagram.

“That’s a fun and interactive way to make sure the guests are on their feet all night dancing, laughing, and capturing great photos,” says Bryant. “Another trend is using pictures of the couple for the table numbers at that age.” So table number one has a picture of both the bride and the groom at age one. “That’s such a great idea and always strikes up conversation amongst guests at the table,” says Bryant. “It also allows guests to reminisce of how they remember the bride or groom at that age.”

Outside caterers are not allowed unless it is for cultural reasons, but the food at Jericho National is made from scratch on the premises and includes a wide variety of delectable choices that would please any bride and groom.

“Our Chef Dean takes great pride in devising and executing our wedding menu so that it appeals to an array of palates,” explains Bryant. “He also puts a unique spin on some of the more traditional fare.”

With the growing number of couples, both from near and far, choosing Bucks County as their wedding destination, Jericho's unparalleled views and attention-to-detail will no doubt be the backdrop to many blissful wedding days to come.
