Happy Labor Day Weekend! This weekend unofficially marks the end of the summer season. There's plenty of fun activities happening throughout the three day weekend. Catch the fireworks at Shady Brook Farm, head to the city for the Made in America Festival or visit the nature center for International Vulture Day. Check out the events below.


Labor Day Celebration at Sesame Place

When: Saturday, September 4th & Sunday, September 5th
Where: Sesame Place, 100 Sesame Road, Langhorne, PA

Celebrate the end of summer with a Labor Day Celebration at Sesame Place. Visit with Elmo & friends to take a patriotic photo with Elmo in his red, white and blue attire. On Sunday, September 5th, watch the fireworks show from inside the park at 8:00 pm with Elmo, Abby Cadabby, Cookie Monster and Count von Count.

July 4th Fest

Made in America Festival Philadelphia

When: Saturday, September 4th – Sunday, September 5th, 12:00 pm
Where: Ben Franklin Parkway, Philadelphia, PA 19130

Spend Labor Day in the city of Philadelphia at the 10th annual Made in America Festival. This is a two-day event starting on Saturday at 12:00 pm. Hear performances by Justin Bieber, Doja Cat and more.

Sunday Music Club

When: Sunday, September 5th, 6:00 pm
Where: Frenchtown Book Shop, 28 Bridge Street, Frenchtown, NJ

Take a drive to Frenchtown Bookshop's “Sunday Music Club” concert series kicks off with one of Nashville's most successful artists, Maia Sharp. She will perform her soulful songs that have been hits for everyone from Bonnie Raitt to Art Garfunkel to Cher, and The Chicks. Maia has appeared on Mountain Stage, CBS' This Morning, NBC's Today Show, and venues worldwide. Frenchtown is happy to host Maia before she leaves on tour. International Vulture Day at Peace Valley Nature Center

When: Saturday, September 4th, 2:00 pm -3:00 pm
Where: Peace Valley Nature Center, 170 N Chapman Rd, Doylestown, PA

Come out to Peace Valley Nature Center for International Vulture Day. There will be family activities, games, and a walk to view the beautiful birds. The vulture is an important species in our ecosystem. Learn more about why and how this matters on Saturday.

Fireworks at Shady Brook Farm

When: Saturday, September 4th, 5:30 – 10:30
Where: 931 Stony Hill Road, Yardley, PA

Enjoy live music by amazing bands in the festival field. There will be activities for the kids, lawn games, food, drinks and plenty of fun. A firework show will end the night. Bring your lawn chair and sit back to enjoy the music under the stars. The band playing is called Don't Call Me Francis. Get your tickets ahead online.

Polish American Family Festival & Country Fair

When: September 4, 5, 6, 11, 12, 12:00 – 8:00 pm
Where: 654 Ferry Road, Doylestown, PA

The Polish American Family Festival and Country Fair is a five-day celebration of family, fun and heritage. Attracting over 25,000 visitors every year, the festival is the region's largest Polish American festival. Enjoy live entertainment, shows, amusement rides and more.

Labor Day at Bishop Estate Winery

When: September 6, 11:00 am – 6:00 pm
Where: Bishop Estate Vineyard and Winery, 2730 Hilltown Pike, Perkasie, PA

Enjoy live music, great food and amazing wines at Bishop Estate Vineyard and Winery. The Meat Wagon BBQ Food Truck will be on site and Barefoot Bobby Duo will be live on Monday.  There are 20+ wines to choose from. The event is rain or shine. There is indoor, outdoor and tented seating areas available.

Kids Yoga at Peace Valley Nature Center

When: Wednesday, September 8th, 10:00 am – 10:45 am
Where: Peace Valley Nature Center, 170 N Chapman Rd, Doylestown, PA

Peace Valley Nature Center is holding a kids yoga session on Wednesday, September 8th. This will also be held on October 13th and November 3rd. Each themed session includes a craft and will be held outdoors. Admission is free but a $5 donation is appreciated.

Beekeeping Classes – Snipes Farm and Education Center

When: Wednesday, September 8, 15 & 22, 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm
Where: Online

The Beekeeping for Beginner class has 3 sessions starting this week. The cost is $40 to participate. There is another class, Hives Talks that is an hour and a half every third Thursday of the month and costs $10 to participate. Suzanne the beekeeper on Snipes Farm will be hosting the 3 session class and you will get an inside look into the complicated and amazing lives of bees. Sign up here.

Craftsmanship at Glencairn: Five Artists

When: Opening September 7, Tuesday – Sunday, 1:30
Where: Glencairn Museum, 1001 Cathedral Rd #0757, Bryn Athyn, PA

Around every corner in Glencairn, visitors will encounter remarkable examples of early 20th century craftsmanship. The new tour, Craftsmanship at Glencairn: Five Artists, is a guided tour and exhibit that explores the work of five artists who worked at Glencairn, the castle-like home built by Raymond Pitcairn. Well over one hundred artists, architects, and laborers contributed to the construction of Glencairn, which took more than a decade to complete.
