Have you always wanted to learn to fly? Have you considered a career that requires a pilot's license? Now's your chance! Bucks County Community College has partnered with Infinity Flight Group to offer private pilot ground school training. The 10-week course starts February 1 at the Newtown campus.

A free information session about the course takes place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 15. Instructor Keith Moran will be available to discuss careers that require a pilot’s license and to answer questions about the course.

The course, which meets once a week for ten weeks, provides the necessary knowledge to take the FAA’s written exam to become a private pilot. Aircraft systems, aerodynamics, flight instruments, navigation, weather, flight planning, regulations, and airspace will be covered. Students must be 15 years old prior to the start of the class. The course meets from 9 a.m. to noon Saturdays from February 1 to April 4. Tuition is $500, and this is a noncredit course.

Bucks County Community College is located at 275 Swamp Rd., Newtown, Pa., 18940.
