Bucks Happening, in collaboration with Open Aire Affairs, recently held two bridal events that showcased a curated selection of the region's fabulous wedding service providers. The event featured local bridal stores, hair and makeup artists, entertainment vendors, photographers and more resources needed to prepare for the big day. These bridal events offered jaw-dropping décor ideas and inspiration for brides-to-be and those seeking more information on their wedding planning journey. The April event was held at Bowman's Hill Wildflower Preserve in New Hope and the May event was held at Tyler Gardens in Newtown.

A group of talented local models showcased gorgeous gowns provided by Le Bella Donna and tuxedos provided by Ventresca LTD. Get to know our models.

Langhorne native Gianna Newborg recently received her bachelor's at Temple University and is studying nursing. She is taking her prerequisites at Bucks County Community College and hopes to attend Holy Family in the fall. From the ages of 5-20, she modeled dance costumes. In 2013, Gianna appeared on the reality TV show, Abby's Ultimate Dance Competition on TLC,  a spinoff of the hit show Dance Moms, where 13 young dancers competed for a cash prize and scholarship. After three long months of filming, Gianna received second place. She says it was an amazing experience that changed her life forever. Being in the spotlight at such a young age was challenging, but she believes it is what sparked her dance career. Gianna spent three seasons as a member of the legendary New York Knicks City Dancers, dancing at every home game as well as participating in events and community projects. Gianna and the team performed with incredible musicians like Iggy Azalea, Tinashe, A$AP Ferg, and A Boogie Wit da Hoodie. Getting to perform center court at the world's most famous arena was a dream come true for her! Since her time on the team, she has been taking dance lessons for fun but has really fallen in love with weightlifting. It gives her a chance to challenge herself and stay active while meeting new people and having fun. When she isn't focused on school, she works at a cryotherapy/wellness center in Horsham.

Mahalia Moreau is a 30-year-old curve model from Philadelphia. In addition to modeling, she works in hotel sales in Downtown Philly. She was born in Montreal, Canada along with two older siblings, and was raised in Philadelphia. Mahalia graduated from Little Flower Catholic High School for Girls in 2011 and later obtained a Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
Mahalia started her modeling career in college and immediately fell in love with runway. She always had an appreciation for the world of fashion but found a love of showcasing others' work and bringing their attention to detail to their garments to life. She took a hiatus to complete her education and kick off her hospitality career but has continued smaller bookings with local businesses. Her favorite type of fashion to model is bridal. Mahalia says she feels like the most beautiful person in the room when she is dressed in bridal – like an actual princess! She plans to continue excelling in her modeling career, looking for representation and management to help her reach her full potential. She also plans to revamp her sorbet business and create more hospitality-driven businesses.

Matt Delgado and Taylor Shimko Delgado currently reside in Yardley, PA with their two dogs. Taylor has been a Radio City Rockette since 2010 and has appeared in the Christmas Spectacular and other productions every year since. She recently completed her 14th season with the Radio City Rockettes in January and has been enjoying the off-season by traveling and spending time with family. Taylor is also a realtor in NJ/PA and has been busy assisting families and individuals fulfill their real estate goals.

Taylor grew up modeling for dance costume catalog A Wish Come True. She has continued to model throughout her career via the Rockettes, Bucks Happening, and others. Her favorite style to model is casual or everyday fashion looks. She hopes to continue her career as a Rockette for several years while continuing to grow her real estate business, which she would love to adopt full-time once she retires as a Rockette. She also hopes to grow her family and become a mom.

Taylor and Matt are high school sweethearts. Matt is currently a financial advisor at Merrill in Yardley. Taylor and Matt got engaged in Greece in 2021 and got married in New Hope last May (you can read their entire stories in a series of articles here on BH!). They love to travel together and love exploring cultures and cuisines of different countries.

Devon Bumm is a retired competitive USAG gymnast, originally from Yardley, PA. She was raised in Bucks County and is currently the Client Relations Supervisor and Medical Assistant at La Chelé Medical Aesthetics in Newtown.  Devon attended Bucks County Community College for Kinesiology and is halfway through the nursing program, but has taken a hiatus to get married! She has always loved being in front of the camera and was on a show called Camp Woodward (Season 6) as a teenager. She also has done commercial and editorial modeling but has always gravitated towards the beauty industry.

Devon recently got engaged in September 2023.  They met in middle school and grew up together. Devon says she knew from the very first moment she met him that she'd be marrying him. He proposed to her a few days before their tenth anniversary on the beach in Cape May, New Jersey. Devon and her fiancé love nature and consider themselves active, outdoorsy people, so they wanted to find a venue that offered an outdoor ceremony. Their original anniversary is 9/21/2013 so they chose 9/21/2025 as their wedding date.

After getting married, Devon plans to finish her nursing degree. She also looks forward to traveling more and having children one day. Her favorite place is the beach and she loves summer. She'd love to own a house at the beach. Whatever she does in life, she just wants to be happy doing it.
