Memorial Day kicks off the start of the summer season by remembering those who have died performing their military duties serving in the United States Armed Forces. From parades to workouts, Bucks County will be honoring our veterans throughout the weekend.  Here's a list of what's happening this weekend.

24 Heroes in 24 Hours

When: Saturday, May 29 9:30 am – Sunday, May 30 11:00 am
Where: 1325 Oreilly Dr, Feasterville-Trevose, PA 19053

Starting at 9:30 am on Saturday morning, athletes will perform a “Hero WOD” every hour for 24 hours straight. This event is a fundraiser for 23rd Veteran Organization. The mission of the 23rd Veteran is to provide happier, healthier lives for veterans living with trauma. The Hero WODs from CrossFit are named after Heroes who have given their lives in the line of duty – military or civilian. These are hard, heavy and long workouts and they can be completed as a team, which is recommended. The event will finish with a MURPH workout. Sign up by Friday to be a part of this event. “Time to Remember” Memorial Day Celebration

Where: 101 Founders Way, Bethlehem, PA 18015

The “Time to Remember” Memorial Day Celebration will feature Kendal Conrad singing the National Anthem and God Bless America, Chris Poczak playing Taps on trumpet, and a reading by the Lehigh Valley Gold Star Mothers of the names of Lehigh Valley residents who have lost their lives in service to our nation. Visitors can also view the 11th annual ‘Our Home Town Heroes’ display, which honors those within the community who are either currently serving or who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces. More than 140 banners, featuring over 1400 Lehigh Valley residents, will go on display starting Memorial Day Weekend, May 29-31, and will stay up through July 4th.

The “Time to Remember” Memorial Day Celebration is on Monday, May 31 at 3 p.m., on the Levitt Pavilion SteelStacks stage. Doors open at 2:30 p.m. and free reservations can be made at steelstacks.org. Summer Kick Off Event

Pennypack Mill

When: Sunday, May 30th, 12:00 – 8:00 pm
Where: Pennypack Mill, 18 Horsham Road, Hatboro, PA 19040

Kick off summer at the Pennypack Mill. There will be live music, a DJ, games, activities, contests, drinks, and more! This event will be held outdoors & indoors. From 12:00 – 4:00 pm, check out the indoor Craft Fair. Draft beer will be provided by Crooked Eye Brewery and Wine & Spirits by the The Beaming Bar. Grab your tickets here.

Memorial Day Celebration & Fireworks

Where: Sesame Place, 100 Sesame Road, Langhorne, PA

Celebrate Memorial Day Weekend at Sesame Place! Grab a photo with Elmo dressed in festive red, white and blue all weekend at Photos with Elmo & Friends. On May 30, watch the fireworks from the viewing areas around the park. Read more about the weekend's events here.

Memorial Day Parades

Bensalem Parade

When: Monday, May 31st 10:00 am
Where: Along Route 13/Bristol Pike in Bensalem, PA

Mayor Joe DiGirolamo announced that the annual Memorial Day Parade will take place on Monday. The parade will take place along Route 13/Bristol Pike.

Doylestown Parade

When: Monday, May 31st 10:00 am
Where: Doylestown Borough

The 2021 Doylestown Memorial Day Parade will be held this on Monday, May 31st. It's free to attend.

Yardley Memorial Day Parade

When: Monday, May 31st 11:00 am
Where: Yardley, PA

At 9 am on Monday, a brief Memorial Day ceremony will take place at the Veterans Monument at East Afton and Delaware avenues with a guest speaker, the laying of a wreath, rifle salutes and the playing of Taps. The Yardley Memorial Day Parade begins at Maplevale Avenue and Taylorsville Road on Monday, May 31st at 11:00 am.

Newtown Memorial Day Parade

When: Monday, May 31st 10:30 am – 12:30 pm
Where: Newtown Borough

The parade route begins at the Newtown Cemetery, heads west on Centre Ave. to the Newtown Library monument, north on Congress St. to the Lighthouse Hill Cemetery, and then east to Pickering Field for the presentation of colors prior to the Vintage baseball game.
