BH tests the "Best Bloody Mary in New Hope"
Last Sunday, we headed to Mother's in New Hope to ease our way into a lazy Sunday. We set out, seeking a relaxing sit-down brunch near New Hope. As soon as we saw Mother's “Best Bloody Mary in town” sign outside, we were sold. How could we not test such a bold statement? With a Bloody Mary and Mimosa in hand, we were on our way to a delicious morning (don't you love how brunch makes Sunday morning drinking socially acceptable?).
With fancy morning drinks in hand, we ordered Eggs Benedict and a Bruschetta Omelette. The service was friendly and the cost reasonable compared to some other choices in the area.
It was a gorgeous sunny Sunday so we chose to dine outside. Having never seen the outdoor patio at Mother's, I wasn't entirely sure what to expect. While it did provide a quiet, informal setting, I would choose to dine inside next time. The outdoor patio appeared more like a place to kick back a few beers with a group of friends on a Friday night rather than an ideal location for Sunday brunch.
As for the “Best Bloody Mary in town,” I can assure you it was quite tasty. However, as a dedicated guide to Bucks County, it looks like I'll have to conduct some further testing to get to the bottom of this.
