You may have visited Against the Grain, the medieval gallery in New Hope, which has been a staple shop in town for many years. It's one of those interesting, unique stores that makes New Hope so much fun. If you enjoyed their collection, you will definitely be excited about this weekend, 4/17 – 4/18, when New Hope will be hosting their first Renaissance Faire. There will be plenty of free entertainment including jugglers, dancers, fire breathers, sword fighting, medieval blacksmithing, belly dancing, pirates, craftsmen, costumed actors, & a medieval drag show to name a few. And don't worry- if renaissance activities aren't for you, food & wine will also be served.
The New Hope Fantasy Renaissance Faire will take place on Mechanic Street in the heart of New Hope starting at 11:00 am. Sponsored by the Greater New Hope Chamber of Commerce.
