It's no surprise that Paige Suthard's favorite subject in school is writing because she is already authoring quite the story in her own life.  This accomplished young lady from Newtown manages her busy schedule with grace and enthusiasm well beyond her 11 years.

We got the chance to learn more about this month's Happening Kid, Paige Suthard:

BH: What types of sports & activities do you participate in outside the classroom?

PS: I take Ballet at the NAC and Tap at Pennsylvania School of Performing Arts.  I sing in the 5th Grade Chorus at Goodnoe Elementary School.  As for sports, I like bike riding.

BH: And how about in school- what's your favorite subject?

PS: I love writing class.  In school, you are always reading books written by other authors, but in writing class you get to be the author.

BH: Tell us about some of the accomplishments you're most proud of.

PS: I am serving on Student Counsel this year at Goodnoe Elementary School, representing Ms. Benzio’s 5th grade class.  In June of this year, I was in the Pennsylvania School of Performing Art’s production of Madeline and Dances of Hope at the Bucks County Community College.

Also, I am active with Seeds Together, an organization that raises money to help the people of Ghana start their own businesses.

BH: Wow, that's fantastic. When you have some time in between all of your activities, where is your absolute favorite place to go in Bucks to relax?

PS: I love being outdoors.  My favorite place to go is Tyler State Park.  My family and I go there often to ride bikes, hike and play on the playground.  A close second would be the Delaware River towpath, where we go on family bike rides from Washington Crossing into New Hope.

BH: With so many accomplishments at such a young age, you must have some great role models. Who are your biggest inspirations?

PS: My parents are my biggest inspirations.  I am also inspired by Katy Perry.  She a very unique person who follows her dreams and encourages other people to follow theirs.  I am also inspired by my teacher Ms. Benzio.

BH: What do you want to be when you grow up?

PS: I would like to be a performer when I grow up.  Singing, dancing and acting.  If not a performer, I would like to be a teacher because I love helping other people.  To have a job where I can help people every day would be very rewarding.

BH: Congrats, Paige!
