Two Pennridge High School students have been named Students of the Month by local community service organization, Perkasie Rotary.

Dennis Brislin was named Student of the Month for September. The son of Mary and Donald Brislin, of Hilltown Township, Dennis is a senior at Pennridge High School and has participated in a variety of activities, including several school choirs, the drama club, and each annual school musical. He is president of the Pennridge High School Student Council, has been recognized with a “Rising Leader” award, and volunteers with the Southampton Music Company to teach children about the theater. He plans to attend college to study business administration and musical theater and hopes to open and run his own trial theater.

Kaitlyn Harries was named Student of the Month for October. The daughter of Amy and Jeff Harries, of Bedminster Township, Kaitlyn is a senior at Pennridge High School and has excelled in academics, taking six AP classes and 14 honors classes. In addition to her studies, she has lettered each year in PHS varsity tennis and won the 2016 PHS Tennis Service Award. She participates in activities including Key Club, Future Business Leaders of America, and Pennridge Drama Club. She is vice president of both the Key Club and Future Business Leaders of America. She plans to attend college to study biology and attend medical school to become a doctor.

Founded in 1925, Perkasie Rotary is a chapter of Rotary International and dedicates its work to the group’s mission of “Service Above Self.” The organization works to bring civic and business leaders together to help their communities thrive.

Perkasie Rotary serves the Pennridge School District area, hosting events throughout the year to show support for and raise money for important community efforts.
