The Bridge Street Foundation, the organization behind the revitalization of the Bucks County Playhouse and Lambertville Music Hall, recently announced plans for yet another project – a hotel and restaurant called The Playhouse Inn which will be connected to the Playhouse.

The New Hope Borough Council approved the necessary conditional use permit at their March 15th meeting. The Playhouse Inn will be located in the longtime closed Zadar’s night club building, which is located directly next door to the theater. The plans include a 200-seat restaurant as well as a 12-room hotel with rooms overlooking the downtown and the scenic Delaware River.

While many locals are excited to say goodbye to the long-time eyesore at the center of town, some are concerned about parking. The Council reduced the required parking spaces for The Playhouse Inn from 82 to 62 spots.
