Last week, we got a chance to check out The Summer Kitchen located in the Gathering Village in Penn's Park, PA. We weren't entirely sure what to expect since the website was a little outdated but having heard great recommendations, we gave it a shot and are so happy we did. Since it was another gorgeous spring evening, we were able to sit outside to enjoy the beautiful, peaceful environment. The Summer Kitchen is a BYOB so we brought along a couple bottles of our favorite wines & began to unwind on the patio. While the restaurant itself is on the smaller side, their expansive outdoor patio offers tons of seating.
The Summer Kitchen lives up to its name with their friendly staff, low key environment, & uniquely delicious menu. The chef, Mario Korenstein, blends his Cuban routes, Jewish origin, and classic European training into an eclectic menu of original dishes. Our table's choices ranged from seafood paella to a ground beef, veggie, & plantain comfort dish to a variety of fish including Trout & rhubarb-glazed Salmon. Everything was fabulous! We topped the meal off with a round of cappuccinos & espressos. Next time I need my evening caffeine fix, I plan to skip Starbucks & head over to The Summer Kitchen to enjoy some of their amazing cappuccinos & desserts.
The Summer Kitchen is the quintessential example of fine dining in a peaceful Bucks County setting. Wait for a warm, sunny day & head over for a memorable meal.
