I love a good workout; nothing beats working up a sweat and feeling great the rest of the day!  Bucks County offers tons of outdoor activities but one thing that I found lacking when I moved back to PA from New York was a hot yoga studio.  In New York, I had added Bikram Yoga into my routine and as a result had never felt better.  It's the perfect way to loosen up your muscles, detox, & get an intense workout at the same time.

Thus I was thrilled to discover that hot yoga had arrived in Bucks County! In December, Riverflow Yoga opened in Point Pleasant, PA and yesterday I got the chance to check it out.  To start, the drive up to Point Pleasant was stunning- a sunny morning driving along the river. The studio itself had a wonderful quirky character that created a warm, homey atmosphere.  The owner & instructor, Rhonda, is very friendly & made a point to give everyone in the class personal feedback.  I did the first week special- $36 for 3 classes and also purchased a towel and water at a $1 a piece.

I can tell you with certainty that Hot Yoga was a fantastic workout; I can barely make it down the stairs today without cringing! Despite the soreness, I awoke today with more energy than I've had in months (and that's saying a lot being that I had to get up at 4am)! Riverflow sums it up perfectly, “You run, bike, kayak, rock climb, work out, and you age (if you're lucky)…and man, are your muscles tight. Get ready; hot yoga is going to make you flexible again.” I highly recommend attending a class at Riverflow Yoga; just be sure to hydrate and avoid big meals beforehand!
