I admit it; I'm guilty of keeping old bronzers, not washing my make up brushes often enough, and de-clumping mascara with a comb (yes really).  I know that these decisions are NOT smart for me or my skin, but between endless make up counters and glitzy, celebrity-filled commercials, I get a bit overwhelmed!  Luckily, a new, unique store opened in the heart of Doylestown to help me make smart choices, feel smart and of course, look smart. Owner Robin Salerno opened Smart Cosmetic Studio & chose the name for a reason. She wants women to make smart makeup choices. Her goal is to provide professional advice to make you look and feel great.

Robin and her staff are all licensed cosmetologists, something you do not ordinarily find at your average makeup counter. Most importantly, she urges all her customers to try out makeup before buying. The Smart Cosmetic staff is available to help you apply makeup properly and choose the right colors. Wear it for the day, and if you like it, then come back and buy it- simple as that.

Because Smart Cosmetic Studio is all about making you look good, they are hosting a “Girls Night Out” party on Thursday, October 28th from 4-8pm. The event will feature botox, Juvederm, permanent makeup, microdermabrasion and peels by dermatologist Marlene Mash, a way to have fun while getting rid of lines and wrinkles!  Plus, with 20 units of botox, Smart Cosmetics is giving away either $100 off or a free application of Juvederm.  Refer a friend and receive an additional $25 off!

I know that I do not always make smart choices when purchasing cosmetics, so this is a great opportunity to learn.  To prevent wrinkles, botox softens lines in the forehead, crows feet and lines in between the eyes.  Juvederm, a man made jelly-like substance that keeps our joints lubricatedis, is used for a filler.  Both are safe to use together or separately to look more youthful.
