Bucks Happening recently visited the Ferry Market on Main Street in New Hope as the redesigned structure nears completion for an anticipated opening in late October 2017.

The expansive building sits in the center of scenic New Hope and measures 12,000 square feet. Those familiar with the building's former design as the Four Season's Mall will hardly recognize the new modernized, open concept space featuring shiplap walls, an exposed ceiling, and industrial glass garage doors opening directly to the street.

The building was purchased in early 2015 by Kevin and Sherri Daugherty, a local family responsible for a number of high profile revitalization projects including the successful re-opening of the Bucks County Playhouse, the New Hope Visitors Center, and the currently under-construction Playhouse Inn, which will be home to a 200-seat restaurant by celebrity chef Jose Garces as well as a 12-room hotel.

The Ferry Market will serve as a hub for local food, community events, and entertainment.  Dozens of the regions top food purveyors ranging from fresh produce from Blue Moon Acres to wine tastings from Unionville Vineyards to fresh sweet and savory crepes from Bonjour Creperies.

Beyond offering daily dining, the Ferry Market plans to host a variety of public and private events and just recently invited the local art community to participate in an exciting mural competition.
