Bucks County is to be featured tonight on an episode, called “Night Shift”, of the TV show “Dead of Night” on the Investigation Discovery Channel at 9PM with a repeat at 12AM. The hour long show brings murder cases to life and this one involves the death of Bucks County’s Terri Lynn Brooks. Bucks Happening’s own TV correspondent, Lauren Rooney, played Brooks for the TV show, which was filmed here in Bucks this past fall.
The murder of 26 year old, Warminster native, Terri Lynn Brooks went unsolved for 15 years. Her body was found in a Fairless Hills Roy Rodgers restaurant where she was the assistant manager. Her gruesome death in 1984, which shocked the Bucks County Community, was thought to be the work of a robbery went wrong. That is until 1999 when Falls Township Police Chief Arnold Conoline re-opened the case and with the help of the Vidocq Society, a group of retired forensic professionals who donate their time to investigating unsolved cases in the area, discovered, through DNA carefully preserved from the 1980s case files, that the real murderer was someone a little more close to home. To find out who, tune into the ID Channel tonight at 9pm.
