For the next 7 days, Philly will be hit with the biggest party EVER!

Bigger than Andy Reid and that goofball Rocky knocked out in Rocky IV combined!

2010 PHILLY BEER WEEK!

The craft beer extravaganza will start Friday, June 6th with Joe Sixpack’s kickoff event; Opening Tap at Independence Visitors Center.  Join local brewers and hundreds of craft brew enthusiasts for music, food, and the Hammer of Glory (not really sure what that is but it sounds pretty awesome); FYI Mayor Nutter will be tapping the ceremonial first keg.

And it doesn’t stop with the kickoff event.   Whether you’re checking out the East Coast vs. West Coast IPA Smackdown at Triumph Old City, International Beer Expo at the Naval Yard, or hanging with Lost Abbey’s Tomme Arthur at Monk’s, I guarantee your taste buds will be wowed by what these craft breweries can do.  With over 80 events in 7 days, this is one of the biggest beer events probably in the entire universe…sooooooo you have no excuse to miss it. There will even be several events held around Bucks County at the Pizzeria Uno locations in Langhorne, Bensalem, & Warrington & at the Hulmeville Inn.

Here’s a small list of breweries (both local and out of area) that will be involved; Yards, Triumph Sly Fox, Philly Brewing Co., River Horse, Bell’s, Weyerbacher, Dogfish Head, Stoudt’s, Lancaster, Troegs, Avery, Russian River, Flying Fish……..Sorry I could keep going but with all the breweries coming to Philly my fingers are getting tired typing.

So if you want to experience craft beer in the greatest beer city in the country get down to one, or all of the events for Philly Beer Week.

PHILLY BEER WEEK COMES TO BUCKS

Thursday, June 10th: M.O.M.S. in Doylestown will host a special River Horse Tasting from 5-7pm. Happy hour just got a lot happier!

Thursday, June 10th: Pizzeria Uno in the Neshaminy Mall will pour special River Horse Taps including the American Amber & Special Ale out of a cask (firkin). The kicker is that the cask will have toasted red oak in it for an interesting take on one of our staple beers.

Friday, June 11th:  Brady's American Pub in Trevose, PA 9pm-12am will be pouring a Toasted Oak Special Ale firkin at Brady's American Pub.

If you'd like a Philly Beer Week t-shirt, check out www.primitiveshirts.com. $3 dollars from each shirt will go to Alex's Lemonade Foundation!
