At 6:25 pm this Sunday, 2/7/10, the Indianapolis Colts take on the New Orleans Saints in Super Bowl XLIV.  Three things are vital to a great Super Bowl Sunday- 1) A good game (we’ll leave that up to Peyton & Drew) 2) Entertaining commercials (we’ll leave that up to the E-trade baby) & 3) Delicious snacks & beverages.  Bucks Happening is here to help.

Planning to cook? Here are a few of our favorite football munchies:

1)      Spinach-Artichoke Dip:  I know this is an Atkins recipe but it is delicious!

2)      Chili Cheese Dip

3)      Tortilla Chip Crusted Chicken Bites: (NOTE: cut chicken into bite size pieces before coating)

4)      And if you’re in a bind, remember Bagel Bites are always a hit!

More importantly, what’s on tap? Head over to Riverhorse Brewery in Lambertville to pick up a tasty case of their Belgian Freeze or stop by Triumph Brewery for a fresh growler of Winter Ale.  If you want to get really fancy, the Wonderful World of Wine in Lambertville, NJ lets you mix & match you own six pack from their extensive selection.

For those hosts too busy partying to cook, check out a few of our favorite spots to order from:

1)      Philadelphia Pretzel Factory – Bensalem, Langhorne, Levittown; A Philly classic

2)      Jule’s Pizza – Newtown, Doylestown, Jenkintown; So many delicious, creative slices & gluten free!

3)      Landalfi’s Deli, Yardley; the freshest around with South Philly specials

4)      Piccolo Trattoria, Newtown & Langhorne; offering some  great catering specials for the game

And for those who’d rather hit the town, below are some great bars to watch the game at:

1)      Green Parrot, Newtown : Their indoor patio is the perfect spot to watch the game. They’ll be offering food/drink specials all night & also holding raffles.

2)      The Buck Hotel, Feasterville

Enjoy!
