The holiday season offers us a unique opportunity to make a positive impact in our communities and help those in need. It's a time to shift our focus from our own desires to the needs of others. Whether it's Christmas, Hanukkah, Diwali, or any other celebration, the act of giving is a universal language that knows no bounds. To embrace the spirit of giving during the holiday season, we have compiled a list of ways to give back to our local Bucks County community.

Between Friends Outreach, Inc. (BFO) is a 100% volunteer organization that works with Veterans, homeless, domestic violence victims and low-income families and individuals who need a hand up right in our community. We offer emergency shelter, food, clothing, assistance with obtaining benefit, such as medical and food, stamps, assist with obtaining documents such as birth certificates, SS cards, licenses and the list goes on. We also have 2 properties that offer long term housing options. Currently we have our refugee family in one and a family from the inner city where the parents are finishing up their schooling and saving to purchase a home. Currently, we are working on our favorite: Between Friends Outreach Random Acts of Christmas Program. We work together with local businesses and individuals to assist obtaining gifts for our very own neighbors in need. We provide three items of need, three items of want, and an outfit for each child.
Currently, we are in need of over 5000 gifts and the lists keep coming. Anyone interested in assisting, please text 267-875-9460. Donations towards the gifts can also be made via our Venmo @BFO-Outreach. We cannot help everyone, but together we can make a difference to someone!

Upon completing the program, participants are physically and emotionally prepared to complete a 5K. The culminating event brings together teams from across the community to celebrate the power of unleashing confidence through accomplishment. Throughout its ten-year history, GOTRP has developed partnerships that have enabled the organization to serve over 6,000 girls at over 150 sites throughout our region since its inception. This season GOTRP served 755 girls in Philadelphia with over 83% of receiving financial assistance to participate

Charitable contributions enable us to transform the lives of hundreds of girls in our community each year. You can ensure that every girl who wishes to participate is able to do so, regardless of financial circumstances by donating through this link: https://www.gotrphiladelphia.org/donate.
