#2 Amanda & Ryan

Ryan and I met while working at a local ski shop during the 2006-2007 ski season. We were drawn to each other immediately and began dating in February of 2007 after I invited him to watch the Super Bowl with me. We fell madly in love almost instantly and spent as much time as possible together. In August of 2007, we were blessed to find out we were expecting our first child. Our adorable son Jayden Joseph was born in April of 2008, who continues to bring us happiness and make us proud each day! Since the birth of our son, we've been leading hectic lives, making the most of each day (We even moved to Vermont this past winter to work at the mountains while enjoying the amazing skiing!). Though we've been engaged since December 2007, it has been nearly impossible to save for a wedding when there are other expenses that need to come first, such as taking care of our son, day care, student loans, and every day bills. Winning this contest would help us achieve the wedding of our dreams and to finally become husband and wife. We appreciate everyone's votes, and good luck to all of the finalists!

#13 Jeff & Kristy

Jeff and I met four years ago in East Stroudsburg.  We were both attending ESU at the time, but we didn't meet until a 4th of July party thrown by mutual friends.  We talked, made acquaintances, but we didn’t finally start to become friends until around his 21st birthday. We were both out with friends enjoying a couple of drinks when I saw Jeff.  I approached him and asked if I could buy him a drink.  He said sure, so I left to get us some drinks.  When I came back, Jeff was no where to be found. Asking his roommates, they said he had left for the evening. Needless to say, I didn't realize how shy he was at first, and he didn't realize that I don't give up that easily.  He apologized and promised to make it up to me. The following day, he invited me over to watch a Phillies game with him. Thankfully, I persevered, and low and behold, here we are today, engaged and planning our wedding!

After a while, it was time to meet the families.  There was an instant connection between all of us, and we have become one big, close-knit family. Everyone is involved in helping with the wedding arrangements and will be an intricate part of our wedding day.  We are getting married on November 2nd of 2012 at Cairnwood Estates in Bryn Athyn.  I have always dreamed of being married there, and the love of my life has made my dreams come true!

Currently, Jeff and I are both students, again. I am studying for another degree to become a Court Stenographer. Jeff is currently enrolled in the Police Academy through Temple University. Thankfully, with the help of our families, we were both able to go back to school and continue to build our future together.

We are so excited to be a part of this contest, and we would like to take this time to thank all of you for your votes. With winning, we would be able to take some of the financial burden off ourselves and enjoy the time of planning our wedding. We have enjoyed reading the profiles and viewing the pictures and videos of the couples involved in the contest, and we believe everyone deserves to win.  Good luck to all of us!

Chuck and I have been together since “2000”. Our junior year of high school. We just passed our 11th anniversary Jan. 7th. We are planning our wedding for Oct. 28th 2011. We can't wait! It's going to be the most amazing day of our lives! So exciting to be able to finally marry my best friend and I truly believe soul-mate! Both of our families are not able to help us financially, so we are paying for this wedding all on our own. This is fine with us and actually think we will appreciate our day that much more, but winning this contest would really make things a lot easier. Regardless of what happens, we will be the two most happiest people on the planet on that special day.

My fiance and I met over 3 years ago on Facebook. Yes.. we met online.. its a sign of the times!  I was so scared to meet with someone I had met online,(you always hear horror stories!)  that I made him wait over a month until I would finally meet him in person. Our first date was at the Black Bull, and 2 days later I was in a terrible car accident. I broke my ankle, and wasn't able to show up for our second date. Kyle thought I was lying! He assumed I was standing him up…until he saw me the next day with my cast and crutches. We continued dating (cast and all!) and even though we couldn't go out to bars and parties at first like other couples, we were having a blast hanging in and really getting to know each other. And the rest is history! He proposed in December in front of our family and friends, and our wedding is November 19th of this year. We are so excited to share our lives together and start a family.

My family endured many losses over the past 2 years. My father has owned his own business for 27 years, and with it, was able to provide us with a wonderful life. But with the downfall of the economy, our family started to feel the aftershock. Our income was non existent. We lost our home that my dad built from the ground up.We even had to give our dogs away, when we had no other option but to move into a community that doesn't allow pets.

With my family still recovering, financially and emotionally, Kyle and I will be paying for our wedding ourselves. This giveaway would make our dreams of a fairytale wedding come true. We are so thankful to have made it into the final round. Thank you for giving us this amazing opportunity!

Gene and I first met at his parents house when I was 16 years old. Ever since then, him and I were inseparable. We would go mud bogging (quading) up the mountains, swim in the pool for hours, wrestle, get into towel snapping fights (even though I lost every time) and even talk for hours. When I was 18 years old, we started to have emotional feelings about one another and soon after that we started dating. July 5th, 2010 was the day that Gene asked for my hand in marriage. Little did I know, he was and still is a true gentlemen and ask my parents and one of my best friends for permission. Since my family and I were taking care of my aunt before she passed away, it was his goal to make sure she got to see me engaged. Now, since Gene is in my life, I truly believe that we were meant to be.
