The Plumsteadville Inn is hosting an 80's themed dance party on Friday, April 19th. Reservations are required and costumes are encouraged!

Doylestown Farmers Market

April 20, 8 am – 1 pm
South Hamilton Street, between W. Oakland Ave and W. State St.

Located in the heart of downtown Doylestown, the open-air market features more than 30 rotating vendors local to Bucks County and the surrounding area. The market takes place every Saturday, 8:00-1:00 mid-April through mid-November. Featuring live music every week and special events throughout the season, the market is a great destination for day-trippers and locals alike.

A Day Out With Blippi

April 20-21, 10 am – 6 pm
Sesame Place, 100 Sesame Road, Langhorne, PA

Back by popular demand, children’s performer Blippi will return to Sesame Place for a new musical experience. In this limited-time special event, Blippi will appear in “A Day Out With Blippi” at Oscar’s Wacky Taxi Stage for some silly surprises, dancing, and special guests! As an extra-special treat, guests can wave hello to Blippi as he makes his way down the Sesame Street Neighborhood in a special pre-parade before the Sesame Street Party Parade. Space for “A Day Out With Blippi” is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Saturday Morning Bird Walks

April 20, 8 am – 10 am
Peace Valley Nature Center, 170 N Chapman Road, Doylestown, PA

Walk with a local bird leader and search for birds at Peace Valley Nature Center. Learn and practice basic bird watching and identification techniques. Meet outside of the PVNC Visitors’ Center at 8:00am and begin your bird-watching walk from there! This is a free event for age 15+. All bird watching experience is welcome! This is a recurring event.

Kids Earth Day Festival

April 21, 1-4 pm
Dharma Bums, 4935 River Road, New Hope, PA

For just $10 (all proceeds go to Rolling Harvest Food Rescue), kids can enjoy all activities at the festival. Activities include paper making with seeds and petals, insect house filling station, seed planting station, plus a kids yoga session. Plus, enjoy free face painting, bubbles, and uplifting music to fill the air.

Wheat and Sheep Day 2024 

April 20, 10 am – 3 pm
Washington Crossing Historic Park, 1636 River Rd, New Hope, PA

As the seasons change and temperatures rise, the historic flock at the Thompson-Neely Farmstead needs a trim to stay cool during the summer months. Their winter coats won’t go to waste, the wool will be collected and turned into yarn. Watch as the sheep are shorn of their wool and take a tour at this family-friendly event. This event will include a trip to the barn for a hand-shearing presentation as well as period demonstrations and tour of the historic Thompson-Neely Grist Mill. From there, follow along the colonial process of washing, carding, and spinning the wool into yarn. You’ll also get a take-home activity kit, full of Colonial crafts.

Each spring, the Delaware River in Lambertville, NJ, is home to returning Shad making their way back from the Atlantic Ocean to spawn before returning to the ocean. Local residents can be found fishing for Shad on Lewis Island, the only Shad fishery left on the Delaware River. There will be arts, crafts, food, kids activities, music and more.
