Weekend Happenings | March 22-24

In anticipation of the Easter Bunny's arrival next weekend, festivities are beginning here in Bucks County. Shady Brook Farm's Easter Extravaganza is on Saturday, with scavenger hunts and their all new, Easter Treat Trail. Art in the Barn is hosting a Spring Speckled Egg Wreath Workshop and a Spring Mommy & Me Paint Party. Art in the Barn Workshops

Spring Speckled Egg Wreath (Friday, 7 – 8:30 pm)

Let's celebrate Spring! Make an 18″ round speckled egg wreath using artificial life-like eggs, your choice of yellow, lavender, green, blue or pink eggs! Add a natural burlap bow to top off this whimsical wreath for inside or outside use. All instruction and supplies included.

Spring Mommy & Me Paint Party (Saturday, 1 – 3 pm)

Hop into Spring at Art in the Barn! Bond with your child while creating a beautiful painting together. Two partners work on 2 paintings that hang together.

For ages 7+, all materials and instruction included! Class fills quickly, register early! Light refreshments served.

Country Night at Steam Pub

Easter Extravaganza

Get ready for egg-citing adventure and embark on a whimsical journey with our ALL NEW Easter Treat Trail! It's an interactive Easter Egg scavenger hunt where you'll answer clues to navigate turns and discover hidden stations. At each one you'll find a colorful Easter Egg waiting just for you. It's not just a hunt; it's an adventure! Once you've gathered all your Easter eggs, exchange them for a treat bag of candy that will surely sweeten the day.

Easter Egg Hunt

March 23, 1-4 pm
The Shops at Valley Square, Route 611 & Street Road, Warrington, PA

Participate in the Shops at Valley Square Easter Event. There will be food trucks, bounce houses, face painting, balloon art and take your own photos with the Easter Bunny and Baby Duck.

Frog Walk

March 23, 7 pm
2877 Creamery Road, New Hope, PA

Join The Bucks County Audubon Society at 7pm for an evening exploration of the croaks, trills and splashes of our local amphibians! Get up close and personal with Spring Peepers, Leopard Frogs, Green Frogs and many of our other local amphibians! Warm spring evenings are filled with the sounds of these fascinating animals, so grab your boots and a flashlight and join Bucks County Audubon Society naturalists for a FROG HUNT! Members $5, Non-members $10. Space is limited to prevent over-impacting the environment so register early! Registration cutoff date is March 20, 2024. Walk is limited to 15 participants. Back up date is April 6th.

Fonthill Castle Evening Tours

Delight in the splendor of a guided historic evening tour at Fonthill Castle. Fonthill Castle was the home of Henry Chapman Mercer and an early example of reinforced concrete architecture. Discover Mercer’s renowned ceramic tiles during these intimate 45-minute guided historic tours of the castle’s unique rooms and artifacts. Please note there are steep stairs and narrow, uneven passageways on this tour. Arrive 10 minutes prior to your start time. Late arrivals may not be accommodated. Advanced tickets are highly recommended. $25 Adult/$20 Member Adult/$10 Youth (6-17)/$5 Child (5 and under)
